Oil sorbent
Oil sorbent mat is one of the important devices for treating oil spills on waters. In an urgent oil spill control operation, the mechanical recovery devices must be used to retrieve the thicker oil spills. Then the oil absorbent mat is used to absorb the thinner oil spills on the water surface. In a water area where a mechanical recovery device cannot and is not able to use oil spill dispersant, the oil absorbent mat should be used to clean up oil spills.
Features
1. Light specific weight, floatable on water
2. Strongly lipophilic and hydrophobic, it absorbs only oily substances on and in water ,but it dose not absorb water
3. It can retain oil excellently, can be used repeatedly and has a long shelf life
4. This product is non-toxic and has no smell. It dose not cause aquatic products to be contaminated and does not create toxic gas in burning and disposal
5. PP-1 is mainly used to recover light oils, oils with low and medium viscosity and the volatile chemical liquids with light specific weight.PP-2 is suitable for absorbing oils of higher viscosity.
