Brief Description
This Ore spiral classifier is widely used to combine with the ball grinder in a closed circulation for ore-sand separation in the ore separation plant, classify ore sand and fine silt in the gravity separation plant, classify the granularity from the pulp in the metal ore beneficiation flow and remove the slime and water in the ore washing process.
Type of Spiral Classifier
Spiral classifier is mainly including of four types. They are high weir type single spiral classifier, high weir type double spiral classifier, immersed type single spiral classifier and immerse type double spiral classifier.

Structure of Spiral Classifier
A spiral classifier is composed of gearing device, spirals, tank, elevator device, bottom support (bearing bush) and a discharging valve.
Application
Spiral classifier is widely used in mineral processing and forms one closed circulation with grinding equipments. It is applied for the pre-classification, fine-grained mineral mud off, dehydration, washing, grading and so on. It can efficiently control mineral particle size, improve the grinding efficiency and reduce the over-crusher phenomenon.
Detailed Description
Spiral classifiers are divided into single spiral classifiers and double spiral classifiers. Beside, they are also divided into high weir spiral classifiers and submerged spiral classifiers. If the overflow edge is higher than the center line of spiral shaft and lower than the external diameter of spiral at the overflow end, the spiral classifiers are high weir ones. If the overflow edge is higher than the center line of spiral shaft and also higher than the external diameter of spiral at the overflow end, the spiral classifiers are submerged ones. High weir classifiers are usually used for the classification with particle size of below 0.2mm. Submerged classifiers are usually used for the classification with particle size of below 0.05mm.
Step
1. Control material size from ball mill in the beneficiation process.
2. Separate mineral sand and fine mud in the gravity concentration.
3. Classify the ore pulp according to granularity during the metal ore separation process;
4. Remove sludge/water at the ore separation process.
5. Clean mud and water in washing mineral process.
