Magnetic separator refers to a kind of equipment which select according to the magnetic difference between the ore and the barren rock in a dry/wet way. Magnetic separators with fixed magnetic drum can be applied to the separation of fine strong magnetic ore while they, also, can be used to remove the strong magnetic mixture ore from the non-magnetic ore. This kind of magnetic separators can be feed and discharged continuously with its intensive magnetic field, big work clearance and large treatment capacity.
Features of magnetic separator:
♥ The wet magnetic separator applies to the strong magnetic minerals with the particle size of less than 3mm, such as the magnetite, calcined ore, ilmenite ore, etc. In addition, it is also widely used for iron removal operation in coal, non-ferrous metal and building material industry. Our factory can supply different magnetic force grade separator in the form of downstream, semi-counter current, counter current. It owns the features of simple structure, large capacity, easy operation and maintenance, etc.
Working Principle of magnetic separator:
The strong magnetic ore is adsorbed to the surface of the drum while the weak magnetic ore and non-magnetic ore are flicked off when the ore powder enters into the magnetic field. The strong magnetic adsorption on the drum surface revolves with the drum and is brought from the magnetic field. Finally it will be crushed into fine ore bunker finishing the separation.
