Inner cam can rotate freely with shaft. Contact-sealed splash circulation can lubricate and protect
workpiece and minimize wear and tear.
Multiple oil drain plug can ensure the installation of nd&nj backstop be mounted at any desired angle.
Filtered breather, oil sight gauge and purgeable grease-cavities provide a complete self lubricating system,
which shortens maintenance time.

2. Application of belt conveyor nd&nj backstop
The Backstops are extensively used in Inclined Belt Conveyors / Bucket Elevators etc. to arrest
the rolling back of the machine in case of power shut down
or sudden stoppage of the equipment due to any reason, thereby avoiding the material
being transported to fall-off the machine thus avoiding accidents.

How it works
Several irregular blocks are arranged regularly between outer ring and inner ring. When the inner ring is rotating in the
working direction, the irregular blocks contact with the outer ring and inner ring gently.
When the inner ring is rotating on the contrary to the working direction, irregular blocks will be deflect driven
by spring force and wedge outer ring and inner ring closer together to afford nd&nj backstop torque.

Torque Arm Stirrup Design
Stirrup is used to locate torque arm. It must have enough resistance to shear strength (pressure).
When user selected arm length is different, the withstood Toque Arm Reaction Force also changes.
The pin hole on the stirrup must be long and be installed at the same direction of torque arm, to
relieve nd&nj backstop outer race from undue parallel forces.
When nd&nj backstopping, the pin on the stirrup has no force effected. Its function at this time is to prevent reverse rotation
at normal runtime.

Following is the minimum Torque Arm Reaction Force borne by the stirrup when torque arm length is
standard.
