1. Product Description
The 30 TPD Modular Gold CIL Plant is a compact, pre-engineered carbon-in-leach processing solution created for small gold producers who want professional recovery results without the cost and complexity of a large industrial mill. It combines proven CIL metallurgy with modular construction, allowing most components to be fabricated and pre-assembled off-site before delivery. This reduces civil works, shortens installation time, and keeps project costs under control.
Designed for remote locations and limited infrastructure, the plant is ideal for small mining operations, exploration projects, trial processing, and high-grade stockpiles. Despite its economical design, it follows the same core process logic as larger CIL plants: leaching gold into solution while simultaneously adsorbing it onto activated carbon. We supply the complete system, from feed preparation to gold recovery, and support you through installation, commissioning, and operator training.
2. Working Principle
Run-of-mine ore is first crushed and then ground in a ball mill to produce a fine slurry. The slurry flows into a series of agitated CIL tanks. Lime is added to control pH, and sodium cyanide dissolves the gold. At the same time, activated carbon is present in the tanks and adsorbs the dissolved gold complex directly from the pulp.
Loaded carbon is advanced counter-current to the slurry flow and then transferred to an elution column. A hot caustic-cyanide solution strips the gold from the carbon. The gold-bearing solution is sent to electrowinning cells, where gold deposits onto cathodes. The gold sludge is then dried and smelted into doré bars. The remaining barren pulp passes through a cyanide destruction step before being sent to the tailings facility.
The process is monitored with practical instrumentation and simple controls, making it manageable for small operating teams while maintaining stable recovery.
