1. Product Description
The 50 TPD Gold CIL Plant is a compact, modular carbon-in-leach processing unit designed for small to medium gold mining operations. With a nominal capacity of around 50 tonnes per day, it offers a practical balance between investment cost, operational simplicity, and gold recovery performance.
This plant is suitable for greenfield projects, satellite deposits, exploration bulk sampling, and small mines that want to move from basic gravity or amalgamation methods to professional cyanidation. It can be delivered as a complete turnkey package or as a core equipment package, depending on client needs.
The system integrates ore preparation, grinding, leaching, carbon adsorption, elution, electrowinning, smelting, and tailings treatment. All major components are selected for reliability, ease of maintenance, and compatibility with remote site conditions.
2. Working Principle
Run-of-mine ore is crushed and ground to produce a fine slurry. The slurry enters a series of agitated CIL tanks. Lime is added to maintain the required pH, and sodium cyanide is dosed to dissolve gold. Activated carbon is present in the same tanks and adsorbs the dissolved gold complex directly from the pulp. Because leaching and adsorption occur together, gold is continuously removed from solution, which helps drive the reaction and improve recovery.
Loaded carbon is advanced counter-current to the slurry flow. It is then transferred to an elution column, where a hot caustic-cyanide solution strips the gold from the carbon. The gold-bearing solution goes to electrowinning cells, where gold deposits onto cathodes. The gold sludge is dried and smelted into doré bars. The barren pulp passes through a cyanide destruction step before being sent to the tailings storage facility.
The process is monitored with practical instrumentation and a simple control system, allowing a small operating team to maintain stable performance.
