How It Works (Triple-effect Principle):
The liquid feed enters the first effect where it is heated by steam. The vapor produced is then used as the heating medium for the second effect, and the vapor from the second effect heats the third. This cascading reuse of energy dramatically reduces the overall steam consumption per kilogram of water evaporated. The concentrated product exits from the last effect, while the final vapor is condensed in a shell-and-tube or plate condenser.
