1. Product Introduction
Steel Billet is semi‑finished steel product after steel smelting, cast from qualified molten steel by continuous casting, acting as upstream core raw material for rolling sections, pipes, steel coils and bars. Steel Billet features dense internal grain structure and stable chemical composition with strictly controlled harmful impurities, ready for downstream hot rolling and forging. Main categories coverContinuous Cast Steel Billet and forged steel billet, among which Square Steel Billet occupies the largest trading volume in foreign‑trade market. Continuous Cast Steel Billet brings high production efficiency and cost‑performance for mass‑production rebar, round bar and angle steel. Forged Steel Billet contains fewer internal defects for high‑strength mechanical forging. All Steel Billet comply with domestic & international standards, free of shrinkage cavity, slag inclusion, crack and bulging defects, widely supplied to rolling mills, pipe plants and forging workshops.

- Carbon Steel (Main export grade for Continuous Cast Steel Billet): Q195, Q215, Q235B, SS400, 3SP, 5SP, S235JR, for rebar, wire rod and general sections, mostly supplied in Square Steel Billet form.
‑ Low‑Alloy High‑Strength Steel Billet: Q355B, Q390, Q420, S355JR, for low‑alloy sections, construction machinery components and high‑strength welded pipe base material.
‑ High‑Quality Carbon Steel Billet: 10#, 20#, 35#, 45#, for bars, shafts, fasteners and mechanical forgings.

4. Main Specifications
- Section Type: Main Square Steel Billet sizes: 100×100mm,120×120mm,130×130mm,150×150mm,160×160mm,180×180mm,200×200mm; custom rectangular billet & round billet Steel Billet available.
‑ Standard Length: 6m,9m,12m, custom fixed‑length & multiple‑length cutting acceptable.
‑ Dimension Tolerance: Side tolerance ±3‑6mm, diagonal difference, bulging and bending conform to national standards to avoid cracking during downstream rolling.
‑ Delivery Condition: Hot‑cast black surface; scarfing & surface grinding optional for removing surface cracks and scabs.
‑ Unit Weight: 0.8‑4.8 tons per piece, calculated by section & length.
5. Process & Surface Treatment
Steel Billet is smelted by converter or electric‑arc furnace, refined in LF furnace for chemical adjustment, continuously cast and flame‑cut to fixed length. Continuous Cast Steel Billet strictly controls carbon, sulfur and phosphorus to lower rolling‑cracking risk. Every piece goes through visual inspection; ultrasonic NDT is available for critical batches to detect internal shrinkage, porosity and slag inclusion. Original surface is black hot‑cast scale. Custom scarfing and grinding service can eliminate surface scabs and scratches, improving finished‑product yield for pipe rolling, bar rolling and forging.

‑ Hardware Processing: Blanks for bars & special‑shaped steel, semi‑finished feedstock for downstream hardware factories.
8. Lead Time, Packing & Shipping Documents
- Lead Time: 7‑12 working days for regular Steel Billet; 15‑22 working days for special sections, special grades, surface‑machined Continuous Cast Steel Billet and Square Steel Billet.
‑ Packing: Loose stowage for bulk‑carrier and container shipment; stacked by batches with grade‑marking on ends to avoid mixing, fit for long‑distance ocean transportation.
‑ Shipping Documents: Mill Test Certificate(MTC), chemical composition report, factory inspection sheet, certificate of origin. Third‑party SGS inspection is supported.
9. Order Note
