Product Description
3LPE (Three-Layer Polyethylene) anti-corrosion steel pipes are composed of a fused epoxy powder (FBE) base layer, an adhesive intermediate layer, and a polyethylene (PE) outer layer. They are specifically designed for long-distance, large-diameter pipelines in harsh environments such as buried and underwater applications.
Anti-corrosion Layer Structure and Thickness
• Base Layer (FBE Epoxy Powder):
• Function: Provides basic adhesion and cathodic disbondment protection
• Typical Thickness: Standard grade ≥80μm, Reinforced grade 100-400μm
• Intermediate Layer (Adhesive):
• Function: Bonds the epoxy layer and the polyethylene layer
• Typical Thickness: 170-250μm
• Outer Layer (Polyethylene PE):
• Function: Provides mechanical protection, waterproofing, and wear resistance
Key Performance and Test Indicators
• Cathodic Disbondment Radius (70℃, 48h): ≤15mm (Key indicator of anti-corrosion layer stability)
• Impact Strength (23℃): ≥10J (Measures resistance to mechanical damage)
• Adhesive Peel Strength (23℃): ≥70N/cm (Measures interlayer bonding strength)
• Polyethylene Layer Elongation at Break: ≥600% (Measures flexibility)
Application Environment Parameters
• Long-term Operating Temperature: Typically -20℃ to 70℃, some products have higher design temperatures
• Design Life: Can reach over 50 years under standard conditions
• Main Standards: GB/T 23257-2017 (Chinese National Standard), ISO 21809-1 (International Standard), DIN 30670, etc.
