1. Product Overview
A square tube is a hollow cold-formed section steel with a square cross-section. In the industry, square and rectangular hollow pipes are collectively referred to as square tubes, while Rectangular Tube features a rectangular hollow cross-section. Square Tube is divided into two main categories: high-frequency welded square tube and Seamless Square Tube. Welded square tubes are cold-formed from steel strips and closed via high-frequency welding, featuring high production efficiency and complete specifications. Seamless Square Tube is manufactured by piercing and extruding round steel billets with no weld defects on the tube body. Rectangular Tube boasts balanced mechanical properties with excellent bending and torsion resistance. It is lighter than solid profiles under the same bearing capacity, effectively reducing the overall structural load. Square Tube has excellent machinability and supports various deep processing procedures including cutting, welding, bending and punching. Without weak weld zones, Seamless Square Tube delivers superior pressure resistance and anti-fatigue performance. Widely applied in steel structure frames, mechanical racks and guardrail supports, Rectangular Tube serves diverse industrial scenarios. Square Tube integrates structural load-bearing and decorative functions, while Seamless Square Tube is primarily used for heavy-load, high-pressure and alternating load working conditions. Square Tube can be processed into black raw tubes, hot-dip galvanized tubes and painted anti-corrosion tubes. Rectangular Tube is applicable to both indoor and outdoor projects, and Seamless Square Tube is the preferred pipe material for high-end equipment and heavy-duty engineering projects.

3. Material Grade Classification
3.1 Ordinary Carbon Square Tube
Q235B Square Tube: The most versatile Square Tube in the market with excellent plasticity, weldability and cost performance. As a widely used Rectangular Tube, it is suitable for ordinary factory frames, guardrails, photovoltaic supports and decorative frames. Sufficient spot inventory is available, making it the most in-demand alternative to basic Seamless Square Tube.
Q195/Q215 Square Tube: A low-carbon Square Tube with good ductility, ideal for bending and stamping processing. It is mostly used for light-duty shelves, simple fences and indoor decoration, belonging to an economical Rectangular Tube. It is generally not applied to heavy-load structures and rarely produced as Seamless Square Tube.
3.2 High-Strength Low-Alloy Square Tube
Q355B/Q355C Square Tube: A high-strength Square Tube with higher yield strength and excellent low-temperature toughness, featuring far stronger bearing capacity than Q235 materials. This Rectangular Tube is suitable for heavy-duty steel structures, mechanical equipment bases, bridge supports and large outdoor load-bearing frames. It is the preferred Seamless Square Tube for projects with alternating loads and projects in cold regions.
3.3 Custom Special Material Seamless Square Tube
Special Seamless Square Tube including 20#, 45# and 16Mn grades features higher hardness and pressure resistance, applicable to hydraulic equipment, mechanical transmission parts and high-pressure fluid components. Custom production of Square Tube and Rectangular Tube with special specifications is available to meet the usage requirements of special working conditions.

All series of Square Tube support zero cutting, beveling, punching, bending and other deep processing. Rectangular Tube features regular angles and uniform wall thickness. Seamless Square Tube has no internal and external weld defects and high dimensional accuracy, enabling precision processing in accordance with customer drawings.

Excellent surface adaptability for anti-corrosion treatment: Square Tube has a smooth pipe wall with strong coating adhesion after hot-dip galvanizing and painting, delaying rust corrosion in outdoor use.Rectangular Tube has regular corners with no dead angles in anti-corrosion treatment. Seamless Square Tube features continuous anti-corrosion layers, suitable for coastal humid and corrosive environments.
5. Convenient transportation and stacking: Square Tube with a tubular structure can be stacked stably and is not easy to collide during bundled transportation. Complete documents of Rectangular Tube support project inspection and export customs clearance. Eddy current inspection and hydrostatic test reports can be provided for Seamless Square Tube. Deep processing services including cutting, punching, bending and hot-dip galvanizing are available. Products are bundled with steel strips and protected at both ends, suitable for long-distance transportation by highway, railway and sea to prevent pipe end deformation and surface collision damage.
Delivery Cycle: Standard-spec Q235B welded Square Tube and regular-size Rectangular Tube in stock can be delivered within 3–7 working days.
