A ball mill is a type of grinder used to grind and blend materials into an extremely fine powder. In mineral processing, it is widely utilized for secondary or tertiary fine grinding to achieve a target product size of 45 microns (-325 mesh), which is critical for downstream liberation process like flotation or leaching.

 

1. Applications

Mineral Ore Beneficiation: Fine grinding of gold, copper, iron, lead-zinc, and nickel ores prior to flotation or leaching.

Industrial Minerals: Processing quartz, feldspar, mica, and calcium carbonate to strict micro-fine specifications.

2. Working Principle
