Pressure Vessel Steel Plate is full name Steel Plate for Pressure Equipment, a special steel plate exclusively used for manufacturing pressure vessels, storage tanks, boiler drums, heat exchangers, towers and other pressure-bearing special equipment. It adopts vacuum degassing smelting with strict control of harmful impurities sulfur and phosphorus. Delivery condition: Hot rolled, controlled rolling, normalizing, normalizing+tempering, quenching+tempering (customizable). Low-temperature & heat-resistant alloy plates must be heat-treated to stabilize toughness.

9. Storage, Machining & Operation Precautions

  1. Warehouse must be dry & ventilated; avoid outdoor rain exposure which causes rust and downgrades UT inspection pass rate;

  2. Stack thick plates separated by wooden skids to prevent surface scratch and warpage;

  3. Calculate minimum bending radius before roll forming / bending to avoid cold tearing;

  4. Strictly follow preheating & post-weld stress relief heat treatment for alloy heat-resistant / low-temperature steel welding;

  5. Hydrostatic air tightness test is mandatory for finished vessels to match design pressure parameters of steel plates;
