1. Product Overview

The extraction and concentration machine is an integrated device specially designed for Chinese medicine and plant essence extraction. It enables full-process operations such as material soaking, decoction, oil-water separation, and low-temperature concentration, and is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, health product and other industries for small-batch production or R&D trials.

3. Working Principle

Extraction Stage: Medicinal materials are added through the hand hole at the top of the extraction tank and soaked with 5–10 times their weight in water. The material pump enables top-to-bottom self-circulation. Steam heating (steam pressure ≤0.05 MPa) is used, and secondary steam is condensed into reflux by a condenser. After cooling, the oil-water mixture is separated by a glass oil-water separator: essential oil is collected from the top discharge valve, and the water phase flows back into the extraction tank. After decoction, the extract is filtered through two-stage filters and transferred to the concentrator.

Concentration Stage: The concentrator is heated by steam jacket, and a water ring vacuum pump provides negative pressure (vacuum degree: -0.06 ~ -0.08 MPa), reducing the boiling point of the medicinal liquid to around 60°C for low-temperature concentration. The evaporator is equipped with a scraper agitator (to prevent sticky and charred materials), and secondary steam is condensed into condensate by a tubular condenser for recovery to the extraction tank or direct discharge. When the concentration reaches a specific gravity of 1.1–1.3, the concentrated liquid is discharged from the back.

4. Performance Advantages

Low-Temperature Preservation: The vacuum environment lowers the boiling point, avoiding damage to heat-sensitive components (e.g., essential oils, polysaccharides).

Anti-Caking Design: The scraper agitator continuously stirs to prevent material from sticking and carbonizing.

Visualized Separation: The glass oil-water separator allows direct observation of essential oil stratification, improving separation clarity.

Integrated Process: Combines extraction, concentration, and separation, reducing material transfer losses and pollution risks.

5. Operation & Maintenance Guidelines

Pre-operation Check: Confirm that steam pressure and compressed air meet standards; close the discharge door and verify no leakage.

Feeding Specifications: Light materials (e.g., flowers, leaves) first; heavy materials (e.g., roots, stems) on top to facilitate liquid outflow.

Regular Maintenance: Clean the concentrator's tube bundles every week to maintain heating efficiency; open the feeding port and discharge port when not in use to prevent rubber seals from losing elasticity.

Safety Note: Strictly prohibit overpressure (≤0.09 MPa); confirm internal pressure is 0 before opening the lid.
