🔹 Product Overview
The Ball Mill is the key re-grinding equipment after the crushing process in mineral beneficiation plants. It is widely used for wet or dry grinding of various ores and other grindable materials, such as gold ore, copper ore, iron ore, lead-zinc ore, molybdenum ore, feldspar, quartz, limestone, cement clinker, etc.
Our ball mills are available in overflow type (for fine grinding) and grate/discharge type (for coarse grinding & high capacity), with optional rubber liners, high-manganese steel liners, or ceramic liners to suit different ore properties.
🔹 Working Principle
The ball mill is a horizontal rotating cylinder supported by bearings at both ends. Material is fed into the mill through the hollow trunnion (feed end). The cylinder rotates driven by a girth gear / pinion and motor, causing the grinding media (steel balls or cylpebs) inside to be lifted to a certain height by centrifugal force and then cascade or cataract down.
Ore particles are crushed by impact from falling balls and ground by attrition/friction between balls and liners. The ground slurry (wet grinding) or powder (dry grinding) discharges from the opposite end—either by overflow or through a grate screen—and proceeds to the next stage of classification/flotation/gravity separation.
