1. Product Overview
Prestressed steel strand is made of multiple high-carbon steel wires twisted together and stabilized by stress relief treatment. It features high tensile strength, low relaxation, good flexibility and stable mechanical properties. It is the core prestressing material widely used in infrastructure construction.We supply 1×7 standard prestressed steel strand, galvanized steel strand, epoxy coated steel strand and unbonded steel strand, conforming to GB, ASTM, EN and ISO standards.

3. Material Grade & Classification
3.1 Ordinary Low-Relaxation Prestressed Steel Strand
Common nominal diameters: 9.53mm, 12.7mm, 15.2mm, 17.8mmTensile strength grades: 1720MPa, 1860MPa, 1960MPaFeatures: High strength, low relaxation, cost-effective, widely used in bridges, viaducts, high-speed rail and buildings.
3.2 Hot-Dip Galvanized Steel Strand
Whole strand hot galvanized, strong anti-corrosion capacity, applied to cable-stayed bridges, overhead power lines, slope stabilization projects and offshore structures.
3.3 Epoxy Coated Steel Strand
Epoxy resin coating on single wire or whole strand, excellent anti-corrosion, suitable for marine, coastal and high humidity corrosive environments.
3.4 Unbonded Prestressed Steel Strand
Equipped with HDPE outer sheath and internal anti-rust grease, used for floor slabs, underground parking lots and municipal overpasses.

4.2 Standard Coil Weight & Length
Standard coil weight: 1.0 ton / 1.5 ton / 2.0 ton per reel; length customized according to customer demand.Coil inner diameter ≥800mm to avoid wire deformation.
4.3 Surface State
Plain steel strand: Bright metallic finish with anti-rust grease coated, standard type for concrete prestressing.
Galvanized strand: Uniform zinc layer without missing coating, peeling or lump zinc.
Epoxy coated strand: Smooth intact epoxy coating without crack or shedding.
Unbonded strand: Smooth HDPE sheath, full and uniform internal anti-rust grease filling.
4.4 Performance Index
Elongation after fracture ≥3.5%
1000h relaxation loss ≤2.5% (low relaxation grade)
No loose wire, broken wire, jump wire or untwisting after twisting and stabilization.

7. Delivery Condition
Plain prestressed strand: Stress relieved, coated with anti-rust grease, wound on steel reels for direct use in tensioning construction.
Galvanized strand: Hot-dip galvanized after stranding, for outdoor anti-corrosion projects.
Epoxy coated strand: Single wire epoxy coating before twisting or integral coating after twisting.
Unbonded strand: Pre-filled with anti-rust grease and extruded HDPE sheath, cut into fixed lengths on request.
Custom processing: Fixed-length cutting, marking, special reel weight packaging as required.
8. Quality Inspection Standards
Dimensional inspection: Full inspection of nominal diameter, twist pitch, coil weight and coil length.
Mechanical performance test: Breaking load, yield load, elongation, 1000-hour relaxation test.
Surface inspection: Check loose wires, broken wires, coating defects and grease filling status.
Galvanized / epoxy coating test: Coating thickness, adhesion, salt spray anti-corrosion test for anti-corrosion strands.
Batch marking: Each reel labeled with grade, diameter, tensile strength, coil weight, heat number in Chinese and English. English MTC issued per batch, third-party re-inspection supported.
9. Packaging & Ocean Shipment
Reel packaging: Wound on solid steel reels, wrapped with inner VCI anti-rust film and outer waterproof plastic film, fastened by steel straps. Wooden pallets available for container loading.
Anti-rust protection: Full anti-rust grease on plain strands to resist long-distance marine dampness and oxidation.
Labeling: Bilingual labels attached to each reel indicating product type, diameter, tensile grade, net weight and heat number.
Loading Port: Spot goods loaded within 3 working days, customized anti-corrosion strands containerized within 5–7 days.
