1. Product Overview
Channel steel is a long strip steel with U-shaped cross-section, also known as U-channel. It is widely used as load-bearing structural component with good bending resistance, stable mechanical performance and convenient welding & assembly.Our company supplies hot rolled standard channel steel, light channel steel and customized thickened channel steel, including carbon steel and low alloy steel grades. Products comply with GB, ASTM, EN and JIS standards with abundant spot goods.

3. Material Grade Classification
3.1 Ordinary Carbon Channel Steel (General Construction)
Grades: Q195, Q235B, S235JRLow cost, excellent weldability and formability; mainly used for factory supports, brackets, guardrails, frame auxiliary materials and light steel structures.
3.2 Low Alloy High Strength Channel Steel (Heavy-Duty Engineering)
Grades: Q355B/C/D, S355JR, A572 Gr50High yield strength, good low-temperature impact toughness and strong bearing capacity; suitable for bridge substructures, vehicle frames, large mechanical supports and container frameworks.
4. Specification Parameters
4.1 Common Sizes (Model No.)
5#, 6.3#, 8#, 10#, 12#, 14#, 16#, 18#, 20#, 22#, 25#, 28#, 30#Light-weight channel steel and extra-thick customized channel steel are available on demand.
4.2 Standard Length
Fixed lengths: 6m, 9m, 12m; customizable length from 1m to 12m, short-length ratio ≤10%, length tolerance 0~+50mm.
4.3 Surface Condition
Standard delivery: hot rolled black oxide surface coated with anti-rust oil. Surfaces are free of severe cracks, scabs, delamination and pits. Sandblasting, painting and hot-dip galvanizing surface treatment are optional.
4.4 Dimensional Tolerance
Tolerance for height, leg width and thickness complies with GB/T 706; straightness ≤3mm/m, no obvious torsion and bending.

7. Delivery Condition
Hot rolled as-rolled state (standard supply): Coated with anti-rust oil, can be directly cut, welded and drilled for construction.
Surface anti-corrosion treatment: Hot-dip galvanizing, sandblasting & painting according to customer technical requirements.
Deep processing service: Fixed-length cutting, chamfering, punching, bending available on request.
8. Quality Inspection Standards
Dimensional inspection: Full sampling inspection of section height, leg width, web thickness, length and straightness.
Mechanical property test: Tensile strength, yield strength, elongation and cold bending test.
Surface flaw inspection: Visual inspection to eliminate cracks, scars and folding defects.
Batch identification: Each bundle marked with grade, model, length, weight and heat number in Chinese and English. English MTC issued per batch, third-party re-inspection acceptable.
9. Packaging & Ocean Shipment
Bundling way: Bundled with high-tensile steel straps, 2–5 tons per bundle; separated by wooden spacers to prevent scratch and deformation.
Anti-rust protection: Wrapped with VCI anti-rust paper inside to slow oxidation during long ocean shipment.
Labeling: Bilingual labels attached to each bundle indicating material grade, channel size, length and net weight.
Loading Port: Spot goods loaded within 3 working days, customized processed goods finished container loading within 5–7 days.
