1. Product Overview
Round steel bar is a long steel product with a solid circular cross-section, also known as round rod or steel bar in the industry. It is formed by hot rolling, cold drawing and forging processes. Its material grades cover plain carbon steel, high-quality carbon structural steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, bearing steel, etc. Featuring balanced strength, easy machinability, good weldability and heat treatability, it serves as a universal basic raw material for construction, machinery, automobile, mold and hardware industries.
2. Product Classification by Production Process
2.1 Hot Rolled Round Bar
Applicable Standards: GB/T 702-2017, ASTM A36, EN 10060
Process: Rolled after high-temperature heating of steel billets, with black oxide scale on surface
Sizes: Φ5.5mm – Φ500mm, standard length 4–12 meters
Dimensional tolerance: ±0.5~±1.2mm with loose tolerance range
Advantages: Low cost, excellent plasticity and toughness, easy for forging and welding
Applications: Building steel structures, mechanical blanks, rough machining of shafts, raw materials for fasteners
2.2 Cold Drawn Bright Round Bar
Applicable Standards: GB/T 905, GB/T 3078, EN 10278
Process: Cold drawing at room temperature to remove oxide scale with bright clean surface
Sizes: Φ3mm – Φ120mm, standard fixed length 3/6 meters
High dimensional accuracy: h7/h8/h9 precision grade, tolerance ±0.02~±0.15mm
Advantages: Precise dimension, smooth surface, improved hardness, no secondary turning required

Export package: Fumigated wooden pallets, anti-rust oil, wrapped with VCI anti-rust paper

Each bundle is labeled with material grade, diameter, length, heat number, net weight, execution standard and factory logo.
7.3 Delivery Cycle
Regular spot specifications: 5–7 days delivery, shipped from Tianjin Port
Custom special materials & heat treatment products: 7–15 days delivery
