The 100 TPD (Tons Per Day) Hazardous Waste Incineration Rotary Kiln is a highly specialized, ultra-secure thermal destruction system designed for the safe disposal of high-toxicity, high-risk hazardous materials. Hazardous waste from chemical plants, laboratories, pharmaceutical facilities, and heavy industries requires extreme temperature control and robust containment to completely neutralize organic pollutants, heavy metal matrices, and infectious agents.
This 100 TPD rotary kiln is the ideal capacity for specialized regional waste treatment centers or large-scale industrial plants managing their own hazardous waste streams. It achieves absolute destruction and removal efficiency of complex toxic compounds, drastically reducing waste volume while converting dangerous materials into completely stable, non-hazardous inert ash.
Working Principle
The operation of the 100 TPD hazardous waste incineration rotary kiln is engineered around high-temperature oxidation and extended residence time under strict negative pressure:
Controlled Feeding: Hazardous waste in various phases—solid drums, packaged medical waste, chemical sludges, and liquid solvents—is continuously fed into the kiln tail (the higher end) through dedicated, air-locked feeding systems. Liquids are injected via automated atomizing nozzles to ensure immediate ignition.
Tumbling and Mass Transfer: The kiln shell is installed at a slight incline and rotates slowly via a variable-frequency drive. This continuous rotational movement thoroughly tumbles the hazardous waste, constantly exposing new surfaces to the radiant heat and oxygen, ensuring rapid drying, volatilization, and primary combustion as the material moves toward the lower end (the kiln head).
Primary Thermal Destruction: Multi-fuel burners at the kiln head maintain an intense internal temperature ranging from 850 to 1200 degrees Celsius. The robust thermal energy breaks down complex chemical bonds, destroying pesticides, PCBs, halogenated hydrocarbons, and other persistent organic pollutants, transforming them into primary flue gases and slag.
Post-Combustion and Ash Discharge: The completely sterilized, vitrified ash is discharged from the lower end into a wet ash extractor or sealed cooling conveyor. The generated gases flow directly into a Secondary Combustion Chamber (Afterburner), which operates at temperatures above 1100 degrees Celsius with a minimum two-second residence time to completely destroy any remaining trace dioxins or furans before entering the flue gas cleaning system.

Highly Specialized Chemical-Resistant Refractory Lining: Hazardous waste streams often contain high concentrations of chlorine, sulfur, fluorine, and alkali metals, which form highly aggressive acids and low-melting-point slags. The kiln interior is lined with premium-tier, anti-seepage silicon carbide or high-chrome refractory bricks that exhibit exceptional resistance to chemical corrosion and extreme thermal shock.
Flexible Multi-Phase Co-Processing: The kiln is equipped with an advanced, highly adaptable feeding interface. It can safely and simultaneously process solid bulk waste, containerized materials, high-viscosity sludges, and high-calorific liquid wastes without disrupting the internal thermal balance.
Total Sealing and Continuous Negative Pressure: To prevent the escape of highly toxic fugitive gases, the kiln head and tail feature high-performance, spring-loaded graphite block or mechanical face seals. The entire system operates under continuous negative pressure, ensuring zero ambient gas leakage.
Advanced Automation and Safety Interlocks: Integrated with a high-level PLC and SCADA system, the kiln continuously monitors critical parameters including oxygen levels, internal draft pressure, temperature zones, and emissions. The system includes automated safety interlocks that immediately stop waste feeding in the event of any system deviation, ensuring absolute operational safety.
