IV. Operating Principle

Excitation power fed from Millmate transmitter → Internal iron core compressed by horizontal web tension → Directed variation of steel magnetic permeability → Induction coils output low-level differential electrical signals.

Downlink Logic: AC800M DCS issues target tension setpoint → Millmate compares set value with measured feedback → Output control signal to adjust traction / winding drive motors.

Uplink Logic: Raw tension measured by sensor → Signal amplification and conversion inside Millmate → 4~20mA or fieldbus data uploaded to 800xA for real-time display and pop-up overrange alarms.

Fault Handling: In case of open/short circuit of the sensor, Millmate detects abnormal feedback, triggers local & remote DCS fault alerts and activates interlock speed reduction for production line protection.
