⭐ Key Features

1. 🎨 Acid-Resistant Epoxy Coating (Core Selling Point)

Both interior and exterior surfaces of the cabinet are coated with epoxy powder coating (Acid-Resistant Epoxy Coating), with coating thickness ≥80μm. Compared with ordinary powder coating, epoxy coating has stronger acid, alkali, and solvent resistance, capable of resisting splashing corrosion from common chemical raw materials such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and sodium hydroxide. It is especially suitable for strongly corrosive environments such as chemical plants and electroplating factories.

2. 💧 76mm Deep Leak-Proof Containment Sump

The bottom of the cabinet features a 76mm deep integrally stamped leak-proof containment sump (Leak-Proof Sump), capable of holding 10% of the cabinet's capacity (approx. 41.6 liters). If chemicals leak accidentally or fire sprinklers activate, liquids are effectively contained in the sump and will not overflow to contaminate the floor or flow into drains, avoiding environmental pollution and secondary accidents.

3. 🚪 Self-Latching Door System

Equipped with self-latching doors (Self-Latching Doors) that automatically close within 5 seconds after opening, preventing staff negligence. Fire-resistant expanding seals are installed at door gaps, expanding to 3-5 times their original thickness when exposed to heat, tightly sealing gaps and blocking smoke and flames. The door lock adopts a 3-point linkage locking system, with one key controlling both doors.

4. 🔥 10-Minute Fire Rating

The cabinet body adopts a double-wall 18-gauge cold-rolled steel structure, with high-density fireproof insulation cotton filled in between, passing the 10-minute fire test (compliant with NFPA 251 standard). In the event of an external fire, the internal temperature will not exceed 177°C within 10 minutes, buying valuable time for personnel evacuation and fire rescue.

5. ⚡ Dual Grounding Terminals, Anti-Static Design

The cabinet body is equipped with dual grounding terminals (Dual Grounding Terminals), which can be connected to the factory grounding system to prevent static charge accumulation that could trigger sparks. In chemical plant environments, vapors of many chemicals (such as flammable solvents) mixed with air may explode upon contact with sparks—grounding is a mandatory OSHA requirement and should not be ignored.

6. 🔧 Adjustable Shelves + Leak-Proof Flange

Standard with 2 adjustable perforated shelves, shelf height can be freely adjusted (adjustment hole spacing 32mm) to accommodate storage needs of different specifications of chemical drums and reagent bottles. Each shelf has a load capacity of 100kg. Shelf edges are equipped with 25mm leak-proof flanges to prevent liquid overflow. The perforated design allows spilled liquid to flow downward into the containment sump.

7. 🎨 Blue/Yellow/Red Multi-Color Options

Available in blue (corrosive liquids specific), yellow (flammable liquids), and red (flammable liquids/paints) color options. For chemical plants storing corrosive acids and alkalis, blue cabinets are recommended, complying with NFPA 704 standards for corrosive liquid color identification, facilitating on-site safety management and fire inspection recognition.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Should corrosive chemicals be stored in blue or yellow cabinets?
A: According to NFPA 704 standards, blue cabinets are specifically for corrosive liquids, including sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, sodium hydroxide, etc.; yellow cabinets are for flammable liquids; red cabinets are for flammable liquids/paints. For chemical plants storing corrosive acids and alkalis, blue cabinets are recommended to comply with safety identification and fire inspection requirements. If storing both corrosives and flammables in the same cabinet (not recommended), at minimum a yellow cabinet should be used.

Q2: Which chemicals can the epoxy coating resist?
A: Our epoxy coating can resist corrosion from most common chemical raw materials, including various inorganic acids, alkaline solutions, salt solutions, and organic solvents. However, since chemical concentration, temperature, and contact time affect corrosion resistance, it is recommended to conduct small-scale compatibility testing (drop a small amount of chemical on a coating sample and observe for 24 hours) before formal use. We can also provide a typical chemical resistance reference table (based on industry standard data, not our company's actual test) for your preliminary selection reference.

Q3: How many chemical drums can a 110-gallon cabinet hold?
A: Taking the common 5-gallon (18.9L) HDPE drum as an example, single drum diameter is approx. 290mm and height 360mm. The effective storage space of a 110-gallon cabinet is approx. 350 liters. Considering ventilation gaps and access space, it is recommended to store 12-15 drums of 5-gallon chemicals. If using 1-gallon (3.78L) bottles, then 60-80 bottles are recommended. The specific quantity needs to be calculated based on actual packaging dimensions to avoid overloading shelves (max 100kg per shelf).

Q4: Can the cabinet be placed outdoors in the open air?
A: Not recommended for long-term outdoor placement. This product is designed for indoor or under-roof use. Although the epoxy coating has weatherability, long-term UV exposure will accelerate coating aging. If outdoor storage is necessary, it is recommended to build a rainproof and sunshade shelter, apply corrosion-resistant treatment to the ground (such as epoxy flooring), and regularly inspect the coating condition (recommended every 6 months). In addition, outdoor use requires lightning protection grounding measures.

Q5: Can flammable and corrosive items be stored in the same cabinet?
A: Strongly not recommended! Mixing flammable liquids and corrosive liquids poses serious safety hazards: ① Corrosive liquid leakage may damage flammable liquid packaging, causing flammable liquid leakage; ② Some corrosives (such as concentrated sulfuric acid) mixed with flammables may cause violent reactions or even fire; ③ Mixed storage will be judged as serious non-compliance during safety inspections. Correct practice: use yellow/red cabinets for flammable liquids, blue cabinets for corrosive liquids, store separately with at least 3 meters distance.

Q6: Can size and color be customized?
A: Yes, OEM/ODM customization is supported. Standard customization options include: size adjustment (±20%), color change (color card required, blue/yellow/red/gray/white all available), shelf quantity adjustment, lock type change (mechanical lock/electronic lock/electromagnetic lock), brand logo silk-screen printing, additional grounding terminals, special coating (such as PTFE lining), etc. Custom orders have a delivery time of 20-25 days, with a minimum order quantity of 5 units.

Q7: How to ensure the cabinet coating is not scratched during transportation?
A: We use export-standard packaging: the cabinet body is first fully wrapped with PE stretch film for moisture and scratch protection, then placed in a 5-ply corrugated carton, with 50mm thick EPS foam corner protectors (focusing on protecting edge coatings) installed around the carton, and finally steel straps securing it to a fumigation-free wooden pallet. In addition, a protective film is applied to the cabinet surface before packaging, which customers can tear off after unpacking with no adhesive residue. The coating damage rate for past export orders is below 0.3%.
