Detailed Description of Cold Rolled Steel Coil
Cold Rolled Steel Coil is manufactured by using hot rolled pickled coil as raw material, through multi-pass cold rolling, annealing and temper leveling at room temperature. It features smooth surface, precise dimension and stable mechanical properties, widely used in automobile, home appliances and precision manufacturing industries.
1. Production Process
Hot rolled coil → Pickling (oxide scale removal) → Cold rolling (thickness reduction) → Annealing (plasticity recovery) → Temper leveling → Slitting / Rewinding → Finished products
Cold rolling: Rolled at normal temperature with rolling reduction 40%-80%, improving surface quality and dimensional accuracy.
Annealing: Eliminate work hardening and restore ductility; unannealed hard rolled coil owns high hardness but poor ductility.
Temper leveling: Optimize flatness and surface roughness to enhance stamping performance and surface finish.

Silver-gray smooth finish without oxide scale and pits; surface roughness Ra: 0.4–1.5μm (customizable).
Surface Grade
FA Ordinary Grade: Slight scratches and color difference allowed, for inner parts and structural components.
FB Fine Grade: Uniform surface without obvious defects, for home appliance panels.
FC High Grade: Mirror smooth surface free of defects, for automotive outer panels and high-end decorative parts.

7. Packaging & Marking

8. Advantages Compared with Hot Rolled Coil
Surface: Cold rolled steel owns smooth surface without oxide scale; hot rolled steel has rough surface with oxide layer.
Precision: Higher dimensional accuracy with smaller thickness tolerance.
Performance: Good ductility and excellent stamping performance.
Usage: Suitable for precision parts and appearance parts.
