I. Product Overview
Checkered steel plate (also known as anti-slip plate, diamond plate, or textured steel plate) is a hot-rolled steel plate with regular raised patterns rolled on its surface. Its core functions are anti-slip, load-bearing, and decoration, and it is widely used in industrial, construction, transportation and other fields.

Current National Standard: GB/T 33974-2017 Hot-rolled Checkered Steel Plates and Strips
Replaced Old Standard: GB/T 3277-1991
Material Standards: GB/T 700 (carbon steel), GB/T 712 (hull steel), GB/T 4171 (weathering steel)
III. Materials and Grades
Ordinary Carbon Steel: Q235B (most commonly used), Q235A/C
Low Alloy Steel: Q355B (high strength)
Others: SS400, hull steel, weathering steel, etc.
IV. Common Pattern Types
Lentil Shape (Most Common): Good anti-slip performance, easy to roll, and the most widely used.
Diamond Shape: Strong anti-slip performance and high hardness, used for heavy-duty platforms.
Round Bean Shape: Moderate anti-slip performance and good decorativeness, used for stairs/walkways.
Combined Shape: A combination of two patterns with excellent comprehensive performance.
V. Specification Parameters (National Standard)
Thickness (Base Plate, Excluding Pattern Height): 1.4, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 10.0, 12.0, 14.0, 16.0mm.
Width: 600–1800mm (in 50mm increments), commonly used 1250/1500mm.
Length: 2000–12000mm (in 100mm increments), customizable.
Pattern Height: Approximately 0.5–2.0mm (increases with thickness).

VI. Production Process
Adoptingone-time hot-rolled embossing forming (not post-rolling), the roller surface patterns are directly pressed into the steel plate during high-temperature rolling, with firm bonding and not easy to fall off.
VII. Core Features
Strong Anti-slip Performance: The patterns increase friction, with a dry anti-slip coefficient ≥0.6 and a wet anti-slip coefficient ≥0.4, preventing personnel from slipping and equipment from shifting.
High Strength and Good Load-bearing Capacity: Q235B can bear 1–3MPa, and Q355B can reach 2–5MPa, suitable for industrial platforms and decks.
Wear-resistant and Durable: High surface hardness, resistant to stepping and rolling, with a long service life.
Easy Drainage and Cleaning: The gaps between patterns naturally drain water, reducing water accumulation and dust, and facilitating maintenance.
Good Decorativeness: Regular and beautiful patterns, suitable for exterior wall, facade and cabinet decoration.
Steel Saving: Compared with flat plates, it saves about 10%–15% of steel under the same strength.

Construction: Stair steps, platform slabs, walkways, trench covers, exterior wall decoration.
Industry: Equipment operation platforms, workshop floors, forklift/truck bottom plates, mechanical pedals.
Transportation: Ship decks, railway vehicle pedals, container bottom plates, highway guardrails.
Public Facilities: Substations, power distribution rooms, sewage treatment plants, anti-slip floors of parking lots.
IX. Surface Treatment and Delivery Status
Hot-rolled Black Surface: Original color, needs painting/galvanizing for rust prevention, low cost.
Hot-dip Galvanizing: Rust and corrosion resistant, service life extended by 3–5 times, suitable for outdoor/humid environments.
Spray Painting/Oiling: Temporary rust prevention, easy for processing.
Delivery Method: Both theoretical weight/actual weight are available, supplied in sheets or coils.
X. Delivery Cycle
Regular specifications are available in stock, with a delivery cycle of 5-7 days; customized specifications (special materials, sizes, patterns) need to be adjusted according to the production schedule, and the specific details can be confirmed through negotiation.
XI. Quality Standards and Acceptance
Clear patterns, no defects, no cracks, no bubbles, no rust.
Dimensional deviation complies with GB/T 33974-2017, and the tolerances of thickness, width and length meet the standards.
Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength, yield strength and elongation meet the material standards.
Packaging: Firmly bound, marked with specifications, materials, batch numbers and manufacturer information.
