1. Product Overview
Color Coated Steel Coil (abbreviated as PPGI/PPGL), full name Color Coated Steel Sheet Coil, is a composite metal coil made of cold-rolled, hot-dip galvanized (GI), galvalume (GL) and other substrates. After degreasing, phosphating/passivation pretreatment, it is coated with organic paint through continuous roller coating process and cured at high temperature. It has the advantages of steel strength, corrosion resistance, weatherability, beautiful color and easy processing, and is a core material in construction, home appliances and industrial fields.
2. Core Structure (Five-Layer Protection)
Substrate: Determines strength and basic corrosion resistance; the mainstream substrates are hot-dip galvanized (GI) and galvalume (GL).
Conversion Coating: Phosphating/passivation treatment to enhance coating adhesion and corrosion resistance.
Primer: Epoxy/polyurethane primer to strengthen corrosion protection and interlayer bonding.
Topcoat: Polyester (PE), Silicon-Modified Polyester (SMP), High-Durability Polyester (HDP), Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF); it determines the color, gloss and weatherability of the product.
Backcoat: Epoxy/modified polyester to protect the back surface and prevent corrosion.
3. Substrate Specifications
Hot-Dip Galvanized Substrate (GI): Double-sided zinc coating: Z80/Z120/Z180/Z275 (g/m²); cost-effective, suitable for inland/ordinary industrial environments.
Galvalume Substrate (GL, 55%Al+43.4%Zn+1.6%Si): Aluminum-zinc coating: AZ100/AZ150/AZ200 (g/m²); corrosion resistance is 2–3 times that of GI, suitable for coastal, chemical and other high-corrosion scenarios.
Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium Substrate (ZAM): Zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy coating: AM100; stronger salt spray resistance, suitable for harsh working conditions.

- Coating Thickness: Topcoat 20–25μm, Primer 5–8μm, Backcoat 5–10μm; PVDF is mostly 3-coat 3-bake, with topcoat ≥25μm.
- Common Colors: Sea blue, white gray, brick red, ivory white, dark gray, iron blue gray; RAL color card series can be customized.

9. Packing & Delivery
Packing: Standard moisture-proof and rust-proof packaging, wrapped with waterproof paper inside and iron corner protectors outside; 25–30 tons can be loaded in a 20-foot container.
Delivery Time: 5–7 days (conventional stock), 7–15 days (customized specifications).
