I. Overview

GE DS200PCCAG5ACB is an industrial-grade Power Connection Card (PCCA). It acts as a critical intermediate connecting unit between the SCR power bridge and drive control circuits in large industrial equipment control systems. Its core functions include signal transmission and power connection between the two units. It feeds gate driver signals to the SCR bridge through pulse transformers, while providing signal isolation and circuit protection. Compatible with high-horsepower industrial controllers, it is an essential component for ensuring the stable operation of power drive loops in GE industrial control systems.

Its main functions cover gate pulse signal transmission, connection between SCR power bridges and drive control circuits, circuit protection and inter-device communication. Equipped with 12 onboard plug connectors, it transmits forward and reverse gate pulse signals to the SCR bridge and supports communication with DCFB power boards. Adopting a buffer-free and attenuation-string-free design, it integrates related components into other system positions to optimize circuit layout.

Featuring rugged industrial construction, compact size and strong compatibility, this card delivers excellent electromagnetic interference resistance and wide temperature adaptability to withstand harsh industrial conditions. It is widely used in power generation, petrochemical, metallurgy and industrial drive industries, providing stable and reliable connection and signal transmission for power control and drive loops of large industrial equipment.

This module must be used in conjunction with GE Mark V series high-horsepower controllers, SCR power bridges and DCFB power boards and cannot operate independently. GE has discontinued official technical support for this board, yet it remains widely deployed in industrial sites as an indispensable power connection component for Mark V control systems.

V. Precautions

  • This module must be matched with GE Mark V high-horsepower controllers, SCR power bridges and DCFB power boards. Independent operation is prohibited. Verify equipment compatibility before installation to avoid signal abnormality or hardware damage.

  • Confirm that the input power voltage (24VDC or 110–220VAC) meets on-site requirements. Strictly follow wiring specifications, especially for the 12 plug connectors, to prevent wrong connection and permanent damage to the module or SCR bridge.

  • Due to the buffer-free and attenuation-string-free design, ensure that external buffer components in the system are correctly installed and functional; otherwise, the stability of the entire power drive loop will be affected.

  • This board contains high-energy circuits. Do not touch terminals or internal components while powered on. Cut off all power sources and implement lockout-tagout procedures before maintenance to prevent electric shock hazards.

  • Regularly check the tightness of plug connectors to avoid loose wiring caused by equipment vibration. Keep the PCB surface clean and remove dust periodically only after power disconnection to prevent insulation degradation and signal failure.

  • Unauthorized disassembly, modification or repair of internal components is prohibited. GE has stopped official support for this legacy board; all faults shall be handled by professional industrial control maintenance technicians to prevent fault escalation.

  • Install the module in a stable, well-ventilated cabinet. Keep away from direct sunlight, heat sources, humid, smoky and dusty environments to extend service life and maintain long-term stability.

  • When wiring signal cables, strip approximately 0.5 inches of insulation and fully insert bare conductors into terminals to avoid poor contact caused by insufficient stripping length.
