Checkered steel plate (also known as non-slip steel plate) is a metal plate with regular raised patterns such as diamond, lentil, and round bean patterns formed on the surface through hot rolling or stamping. It features excellent anti-slip performance, wear resistance, high strength, and decorative appearance, widely used in construction, transportation, machinery, shipbuilding and other fields.
1. Product Classification
1.1 Classification by Pattern Shape
Diamond checkered plate: Features diamond grid patterns, with optimal anti-slip performance, uniform stress and low dirt accumulation, making it the mainstream choice for industrial scenarios.
Lentil checkered plate: Patterns resemble lentils with round protrusions and high walking comfort, offering balanced anti-slip performance, most commonly used in construction and civil applications.
Round bean checkered plate: Dense small round convex patterns, easy to clean with moderate anti-slip performance, suitable for light-duty places such as shopping malls and bathrooms.
Willow leaf checkered plate: Smooth lines with strong decorativeness, general anti-slip performance, mostly used for exterior wall decoration and landscape components.
1.2 Classification by Material
Carbon structural steel checkered plate
Common grades: Q235B, Q355B
Features: Low cost, high strength, good weldability and processability; Q355B provides better bearing capacity than Q235B. Ordinary carbon steel is prone to rust and requires anti-corrosion treatments such as galvanizing and painting.
Applications: Industrial platforms, workshop floors, stair steps, vehicle floor plates and other general working conditions.
Aluminum alloy checkered plate
Common grades: 1060, 5052
Features: Lightweight, low density, corrosion resistance, good rust resistance, lower strength than carbon steel, and convenient processing.
Applications: Aviation interiors, automobile carriages, light-duty platforms, cold storage floors, etc.
1.3 Classification by Production Process
Hot-rolled checkered plate: Integrally formed by high-temperature rolling, with firm patterns, high strength and low cost; pattern height ≤2mm, the mainstream production process.
Cold-rolled / stamped checkered plate: Formed by stamping at room temperature, with clear patterns and uniform depth (up to 3-8mm), high precision, suitable for thin specifications and complex patterns.

2.1 Dimensions
Base thickness: 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm, 3.5mm, 4.0mm, 4.5mm, 5.0mm, 6.0mm, 8.0mm (pattern height is not included in base thickness and ≥20% of base thickness)
Standard width: 1000mm, 1250mm, 1500mm
Standard length: 2000mm, 2440mm, 6000mm (custom cutting available as required)

2.3 Anti-slip Performance
Dry friction coefficient: ≥0.6

3. Key Product Features
Excellent anti-slip performance: Surface raised patterns greatly increase friction, preventing slipping and ensuring safety for walking and equipment even in wet and oily environments.
High strength and load-bearing capacity: The base plate retains steel mechanical properties; a 6mm thick Q355B checkered plate can bear about 800kg per square meter, meeting the requirements of heavy-duty platforms.
Wear resistance and durability: Raised patterns enhance surface wear resistance, reduce base plate wear, extend service life, and adapt to high-foot-traffic and high-friction scenarios.
Aesthetic decoration: Regular and textured patterns combine practicality and appearance, replacing flat plates for architectural decoration and commercial spaces.
Easy cleaning and maintenance: Pattern gaps form drainage channels to reduce water and dust accumulation, requiring only daily sweeping.
Steel saving: Pattern structure improves plate rigidity, reducing steel consumption compared with ordinary flat plates under the same strength, lowering overall cost.
4. Surface Treatment (For Carbon Steel)
Hot-dip galvanizing: Zinc coating thickness ≥85μm, outdoor rust-proof service life up to 10 years, salt spray resistance over 500 hours, preferred for industrial outdoor use.
Painting / powder coating: Epoxy paint, polyurethane paint, various colors, anti-corrosion and anti-slip, suitable for interior decoration and workshop floors.
Cold galvanizing: Low cost with general anti-corrosion performance, suitable for temporary indoor dry environments.
5. Applications
Construction industry: Workshop floors, fire stairs, walkway pedals, steel structure platforms, underground garage ramps.
Transportation industry: Ship decks, train carriage floors, truck pedals, forklift lanes, port trestles.
Machinery industry: Equipment operating platforms, machine bases, heavy machinery pedals, production line worktables, workshop passages.
Civil & commercial use: Shopping mall floors, bathroom non-slip plates, stair treads, decorative curtain walls, cabinet panels.
6. Packaging & Transportation
Packaging: Banded with steel strips, 5-10 tons per bundle, moisture-proof with wooden squares at the bottom and covered with waterproof film.
Transportation: Suitable for 20ft / 40ft containers; a 20ft container can hold about 20-25 tons (adjusted according to thickness).
Delivery time: 5-7 days
