Angle Steel Product Description
Angle steel, commonly known as angle iron or L-shaped steel, is a long steel bar with two sides perpendicular to each other. It is widely used in construction structures, engineering supports, steel structures, curtain walls, power towers, shelves, machinery manufacturing and other fields. It features stable mechanical properties, good weldability, and easy processing and installation.
1. Product Types
- Equal Angle Steel: Two sides with equal width, specified as Width × Width × Thickness, e.g. 50×50×5, 63×63×6.
- Unequal Angle Steel: Two sides with different widths, specified as Long Side × Short Side × Thickness, e.g. 100×63×8, 75×50×6.
- Processing Technology: Hot rolled angle steel, cold bent angle steel.
- Surface Treatment: Black angle steel (untreated), hot dip galvanized angle steel, electro galvanized angle steel.
2. Material & Standard
Main materials: Q235B, Q355B
Executive standard: GB/T 706
Alternative standards: ASTM, EN, JIS and other international standards are available upon request.
The product has high strength, good toughness and excellent plasticity, suitable for welding, riveting and bolting.
3. Size & Specification
- Regular length: 6m, 12m; customized cutting length is available.
- Regular size range: Equal angle 30×30 ~ 200×200; unequal angle 63×40 ~ 200×125.
- High dimensional accuracy, straight appearance, no obvious distortion or deformation.
4. Product Performance
- Yield strength and tensile strength meet national standard requirements with reliable load-bearing capacity.
- Excellent weldability and cold workability, allowing punching, bending, drilling and cutting.
- Galvanized angle steel has strong anti-corrosion and anti-rust performance, suitable for outdoor, humid and corrosive environments.
- Smooth surface, free of cracks, folds, scars, inclusions and other defects affecting usage.
5. Applications
Widely used in building steel structures, workshop columns and beams, power and communication towers, bridge supports, curtain wall frames, shelf columns, mechanical frames, pipe supports, automobile manufacturing, shipbuilding and port facilities, etc.
