I. Product Overview

Steel sheet pile is a type of section steel component with lock joints and a specific cross-sectional shape, featuringhigh strength, good water stop performance, convenient construction, and reusability. It is widely used in foundation pit support, cofferdam water retaining, river bank protection, municipal engineering, bridge and wharf construction and other fields. The product is rolled from high-quality carbon structural steel or low-alloy high-strength steel, with tight lock joint engagement, excellent overall bending resistance and lateral pressure resistance, which can effectively resist soil lateral pressure and water pressure and ensure construction safety.

II. Product Types

(I) By Forming Process

  • Hot-rolled steel sheet pile: Adopting high-temperature rolling process, it has dense structure, stable mechanical properties and high lock joint precision, suitable for large-scale permanent projects, such as deep foundation pits and cross-sea bridge cofferdams.

  • Cold-formed steel sheet pile: Formed by cold bending, it has flexible specifications, moderate cost and short processing cycle, mostly used for temporary support and small and medium-sized projects, such as municipal temporary enclosures and small foundation pit support.

(II) By Cross-sectional Shape

  • U-type steel sheet pile: The most widely used, with good bending resistance, excellent water stop effect and strong versatility, suitable for various foundation pit and cofferdam projects, accounting for more than 80% of the market demand.

  • Z-type steel sheet pile: It has a large cross-sectional moment of inertia, superior force performance and strong lateral pressure resistance, suitable for deep foundation pits and heavy-load soil retaining scenarios, such as deep foundation pits of high-rise buildings and large wharf revetments.

  • Hat-type steel sheet pile: With a special cross-sectional design, the top is hat-shaped, with good overall stability, mostly used for river bank protection, dike reinforcement and other scenarios.

  • Straight web steel sheet pile: The cross-section is straight, with tight lock joint engagement and outstanding water stop performance, suitable for projects with high water retaining and anti-seepage requirements, such as sewage treatment plants and reservoir cofferdams.

III. Material, Model and Chemical Composition Table

(I) Common Materials and Corresponding Models

This product covers various standard materials such as national standard, European standard and American standard, adapting to different engineering strength requirements. The common materials and corresponding models are as follows, and special materials and models can be customized according to customer needs:

  • National standard materials: Q235B, Q355B (most commonly used), corresponding to models 3#, 4#, 6#, 8# Larsen steel sheet piles, and SY195, SY235, SY355 series steel sheet piles.

  • European standard materials: S235JR, S355GP, S355NL, corresponding to models SP-III, SP-IV, SP-V Larsen steel sheet piles, and conventional and customized U-type and Z-type models.

  • American standard materials: A328, A572, A690, corresponding to ASTM standard U-type and Z-type steel sheet piles, suitable for high-end overseas engineering needs.

  • Other materials: Q235A, Q355C, Q355D (for low-temperature environments), S275JR (for medium and high strength requirements), which can be produced on demand.

IV. Product Specifications

  • Length: 6m, 9m, 12m, 15m, 18m, which can be customized and cut according to customer needs (cutting accuracy ±5mm).

  • Thickness: 6mm-16mm, the thickness varies with different materials and models, and the thickness of conventional models is 8mm-12mm.

  • Width: 400mm-600mm, the conventional width of U-type steel sheet pile is 400mm and 500mm, and the conventional width of Z-type steel sheet pile is 500mm and 600mm.

  • Theoretical weight: It varies with the model and thickness, ranging from 60kg/m to 150kg/m. A detailed specification parameter table and weight calculation formula can be provided.

V. Performance Characteristics

  • High structural strength, excellent bending resistance, shear resistance and impact resistance, which can bear large soil lateral pressure and water pressure and ensure construction safety.

VI. Application Fields

  • Water conservancy projects: River regulation, dike reinforcement, flood control cofferdams, reservoir anti-seepage, water retaining facilities of sewage treatment plants.

  • Construction projects: Deep foundation pit support, basement soil retaining, foundation pit water stop, foundation protection of high-rise buildings.

  • Transportation projects: Bridge bearing platform construction, wharf revetment, road slope protection, soil retaining at tunnel entrances and exits.

  • Municipal engineering: Underground pipe gallery construction, urban subway foundation pit support, temporary soil and water retaining, road reconstruction enclosures.

  • Other projects: Soil retaining in mining, anti-seepage of garbage landfills, cofferdams in port construction, etc.

VII. Packaging and Delivery

  • Packaging: Bundled with steel strips, each bundle weighs 2-5 tons. It can be reinforced and protected according to sea and land transportation requirements (such as adding waterproof film and wooden pallets) to prevent rust and deformation during transportation.

  • Delivery cycle: For conventional stock products, delivery will be made within 5-7 days after ordering; for customized materials, models and special specifications, the delivery cycle can be negotiated and adjusted according to the production difficulty (maximum no more than 10 days).

  • Transportation: Container transportation and bulk carrier transportation are supported, which can be delivered to designated ports or construction sites at home and abroad. Logistics tracking service is provided to ensure timely delivery of goods.

  • Acceptance: Product qualification certificate, material certificate and chemical composition test report are attached when delivering goods. Customers can accept on site, and unqualified products can be returned or exchanged unconditionally.
