1. Work Hardening – Progressive Surface Hardening
Unlike conventional wear plates with uniform hardness, high manganese steel liners exhibit unique work hardening behavior. Initial hardness of HB180-230 allows for easy machining and installation. During operation, impact progressively hardens the surface to HB400-500, with hardening depth reaching 10-20mm. This "hard shell, tough core" structure continuously regenerates as the liner wears.
2. High Impact Toughness
With impact toughness ≥100 J, high manganese steel liners withstand high-energy impacts from grinding media and large ore particles, eliminating cracking and breakage.
3. Excellent Wear Resistance under High Impact
Under high-impact abrasive conditions, work hardening significantly improves wear resistance, extending liner service life. Service life reaches 5,000-6,000 hours in medium/small ball mills.
4. Water Toughening Heat Treatment
Liners undergo water toughening at 1050-1100°C, dissolving carbides into austenite and ensuring stable single-phase austenite structure for optimal performance.
5. Easy Installation
Bolt fixing with cement mortar filling ensures secure attachment. Custom designs available based on mill drawings.
