Deoxidized aluminum cake is a kind of metallic aluminum cake, which is usually used as a deoxidizer in steel casting plants. Its main function is to remove oxygen from molten metal to improve the quality and performance of castings.
In steel casting plants, deoxidized aluminum cakes are usually added to molten steel and react with the oxygen in the steel to form aluminum oxide, thereby removing the oxygen in the steel. This process can reduce defects such as pores and cracks in castings and improve the quality and performance of castings.
The usage method of deoxidized aluminum cake is very simple. It only needs to be added to molten steel. The amount of its use can be determined according to the requirements of castings and the oxygen content of the steel.
Deoxidized aluminum cake is an efficient, economical and environmentally friendly deoxidizer, which is widely used in steel casting plants. It can improve the quality and performance of castings, reduce casting defects, and also reduce environmental pollution.
Metallic aluminum is a commonly used deoxidizer for molten steel in steelmaking production. Some steel plants directly use 5 - 10 kg aluminum ingots to deoxidize the ladle. In actual production, due to the large size and slow melting of aluminum ingots, uneven deoxidization causes waste of raw materials and prolongs the refining time.
Adding circular aluminum cakes for deoxidization belongs to precipitation deoxidization. During precipitation deoxidization, the aluminum alloy is directly added to the molten steel to remove the oxygen in the steel. This deoxidization method has relatively high deoxidization efficiency, short time consumption and less alloy consumption.
Advantages of circular aluminum cake deoxidization:
1: The arc-shaped external structure improves the sliding performance between deoxidization blocks, facilitating the smooth feeding of the silo;
2: It melts quickly after being put into the molten steel, and the molten steel is evenly deoxidized under force;
3: It is not easy to float up after sinking into the molten steel, shortening the deoxidization reaction time and increasing the yield of metallic aluminum.
4: It is suitable for ladle refining and molten steel purification of various steels.
