The final deoxidizer is generally a so - called composite deoxidizer with two or more components. A large number of practices have shown that when a composite deoxidizer containing multiple elements enters the molten steel, not only do they work together and perform their respective duties, but more importantly, they also complement each other. Compared with acting alone, it can actually increase the deoxidation efficiency. Therefore, when designing composite deoxidizer products, the idea of 1 + 1 = 3 is a very important design element. Of course, composite deoxidizers also have other important indicators, which seem unimportant but are actually indispensable.
For example, the theoretical deoxidation effect of aluminum is particularly good. However, the problem is that aluminum has a low specific gravity and serious burning loss. What should we do? Now we know that we can achieve the deoxidation efficiency through adding bulk aluminum in the ladle, adding aluminum by the caisson method, and the aluminum wire feeding process. There is no doubt about the deoxidation ability of aluminum itself, but inserting it into the bottom of the molten steel becomes the key issue. Of course, aluminum deoxidation for stainless steel may also bring insoluble fine alumina particles, and the deoxidation aging time of aluminum is very short.
