Compact, Space-Saving Design: The HN-CLP is designed with reduced height to slide easily under standard laboratory benching (usually 750-850mm high). Its smaller footprint means you can place it exactly where you need it—under a fume hood, next to a sink, or along a wall—without blocking walkways or taking up room that could be used for instruments or workstations.
Specialized Partitions for Organization: Even though the cabinet is small, the inside is smart. It features adjustable partitions (shelves) that can be moved up or down using simple clasps. This allows you to create the exact storage configuration you need. You might have one section for tall bottles and another for small vials. The partitions are reinforced to hold a surprising amount of weight.
Closing Bead for Quiet, Secure Operation: In a quiet lab environment, a slamming door can be annoying and disruptive. The HN-CLP features a "closing bead" (also called a bumper bead) on the door. Q1: Will this cabinet fit under my existing lab bench?
A: It likely will, but you should measure first. Standard lab bench height is usually around 750mm to 850mm from the floor to the underside of the work surface. The HN-CLP is designed to be low enough to fit in this space. However, you also need to consider the depth of your bench. Our standard depth is around 460mm, which fits most benching. Q2: What does the "closing bead" do exactly?
A: The closing bead is a soft, raised edge or bumper that runs along the inside edge of the cabinet door or the cabinet frame. When you close the door, this bead compresses slightly, creating a cushion. This does two things: first, it absorbs the impact, making the door close quietly (no slamming). Second, it creates a tighter seal, which helps keep chemical vapors inside the cabinet. It is a simple but very effective feature for improving safety and comfort in the lab.
Q3: Can I still have shelves if the cabinet is short?
A: Yes, absolutely. The HN-CLP typically comes with adjustable partitions (shelves).
