They are dimensionally stable, hydrolysis-resistant, environmentally friendly and hygienic, and are mainly used for functional and structural parts, such as water pump bodies, water treatment control valves, and softening valves.
The following characteristics and advantages of POK materials are mainly reflected in the application of water pumps:
Abrasion resistance and dimensional stability
POK has excellent abrasion resistance and is suitable for long-term high-temperature and high-load scenarios, such as parts like water pump impellers and gears. It has excellent dimensional stability and is not easily deformed at high temperatures, ensuring the operation accuracy of water pumps.
Chemical resistance and hydrolysis resistance
POK has outstanding acid and alkali resistance and remains stable in a wide temperature range (-40°C to 150°C), especially suitable for environments containing chemical solvents. Its hydrolysis resistance is better than that of materials such as PA66 and is suitable for manufacturing parts in water pumps that need to be in long-term contact with water.
Mechanical properties
POK has a bending strength of 255MPa and an impact strength of 7kJ/m². It combines high toughness and rigidity and can withstand the vibration and impact during the operation of water pumps.
Application cases
The POK materials of Hyosung in South Korea have been used in water treatment equipment accessories (such as filter housings and water pump impellers) and have obtained NSF61 certification, meeting food-grade safety standards
