I. Product Overview
There are a large number of substations in China that are not easily monitored by manual labor in a timely manner. As a result, they are greatly affected by bird activities. The frequent occurrence of bird-related accidents poses a serious threat to the safe operation of the power grid. To improve the reliability of the power system operation and avoid line-to-ground discharge accidents caused by birds building nests, it is necessary to take measures to repel birds without harming them. Laser bird repellers have been widely used. The use of lasers to repel mice and insects has a long history, and their effectiveness has been verified in practice.
The laser bird repeller is mainly composed of two important components: a line laser and an intelligent pan-tilt. The line laser emits a linear laser, which is different from most point lasers on the market. The linear laser is more convenient for repelling birds on substation structures. The laser is mounted on the intelligent pan-tilt and scans through the rotation of the pan-tilt. The entire device is equipped with undervoltage and overvoltage protection, remote control via remote controller, timing function, and time-sharing control to protect the laser. It is simple and convenient to install and use.
II. Working Principle
The laser bird repeller turns on the laser at regular intervals to perform a patrol line scan on the substation structure. After the line scan is completed, the laser is turned off to achieve the bird repelling effect. Since the laser's service life will be shortened when operating at full power for a long time, a function to automatically adjust the laser power is added. It automatically adjusts to an appropriate laser power for bird repelling by sensing the external ambient brightness. If it is necessary to change certain parameters, configuration can be carried out through the buttons inside the main chassis or the remote controller.
III. Functional Features
The laser bird repeller is a set of bird repelling equipment specially developed by our company for substation safety protection. It achieves the bird repelling purpose by emitting 520nm green laser, which is most sensitive to birds' vision. The equipment operates fully automatically throughout the process, providing strong protection for the safe operation of substations.
