Great Lakes Fire-Resistant Fluid is a high-performance phosphate ester-based flame-retardant hydraulic oil produced by Great Lakes Chemical Inc. of the United States, with its domestic supplier being Great Lakes Chemical (Beijing) Co., Ltd. Its core component is triaryl phosphate ester derived from selected xylenol fractions. Specifically designed for the electro-hydraulic control (EHC) systems of steam turbines, this fluid boasts advantages such as a high flash point, excellent oxidation stability, and outstanding fire-resistant properties, making it suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure, and high fire-risk scenarios.
I. Core Features and Technical Parameters(1) Core Advantages
Fire-retardant performance: With a flash point reaching 545℃ (in accordance with ASTM D92 standard) and the ability to withstand temperatures up to 700℃, this fluid complies with ISO 12922 (HFDR type) and ASTM D4293 standards. It can effectively prevent fires caused by oil leakage contacting high-temperature surfaces, thus being ideal for high fire-risk scenarios.
Superior physicochemical stability: It exhibits excellent oxidation stability, with the acid value strictly controlled at 0.04 mgKOH/g (in accordance with ISO 6619 standard). This effectively prevents the decomposition of phosphate ester due to water contamination and significantly extends the service life of the fluid. It also features strong adaptability across a wide temperature range, maintaining good fluidity in low-temperature environments and stable performance at high temperatures.
Excellent system compatibility: Its foam tendency, air release property, and demulsibility are precisely regulated, fully meeting the specifications of steam turbine manufacturers and being compatible with high-precision servo valves. Additionally, it is compatible with various engineering materials, ensuring the stable operation of the entire system.
