NCC Certification Process
I. What is NCC Certification?
NCC certification is short for National Communications Commission (NCC) of Taiwan. It is primarily responsible for certifying communication and information equipment sold and used in the Taiwan market. NCC certification ensures that telecommunications products comply with relevant regulations and standards, guaranteeing product safety, electromagnetic compatibility, and compliance with wireless spectrum usage. NCC certification applies to various telecommunications products, including wireless communication equipment, wired communication equipment, and telecommunications terminal equipment. Products that obtain NCC certification are authorized to be used and sold in Taiwan. This certification typically involves electromagnetic radiation testing, frequency compliance testing, and safety assessments. Through NCC certification, product manufacturers can demonstrate that their products comply with Taiwan's telecommunications regulations, increasing market access and credibility.
II. NCC Certification Product Scope
The product scope of NCC certification mainly covers various telecommunications equipment, wireless communication equipment, satellite navigation equipment, etc., specifically including but not limited to the following categories:
Regulated Product Scope
2.1. Public Switched Telephone Network Equipment (PSTN)
Warehouse telephones (including VoIP), automatic alarm devices, telephone recorders, fax machines, teletypewriters, remote control devices, wired and wireless main/slave telephones, user-provided dedicated exchanges, push-button telephone systems, computer telephone integration equipment, data equipment (ADSL terminal equipment and splitters), caller ID terminal equipment, 2.4GHz radio frequency telecommunications terminal equipment, DS1/T1/E1 terminal equipment, etc.
2.2. Land Mobile Communication Network Equipment (PLMN)
Radio call system terminal equipment, mobile data terminal equipment, repeater cordless phones, GSM mobile phones and terminal equipment, DCS1800 mobile phones and terminal equipment, third-generation and fourth-generation mobile communication terminal equipment (the third-generation mobile communication (3G) business license will expire on December 31, 2018).
2.3. Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN)
ISDN digital phones, ISDN personal computer add-on cards, ISDN G4 fax machines, ISDN video phones, ISDN terminal adapters, ISDN terminal adapter modules, ISDN PABX, other ISDN user terminal equipment, etc.
2.4. Low-Power RF Motor Products
Wireless Networking (WLAN) products (including IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n), UMII, Bluetooth products, RFID (125kHz~134kHz, 13.56MHz, 27MHz, 922MHz~928MHz, 2.4GHz, 5.8GHz), ZigBee, wireless keyboards, wireless mice, wireless headsets and microphones, walkie-talkies, radio-controlled toys, various radio remote controls, various wireless anti-theft devices, Family Radio Service (FRS), etc.
III. NCC Certification Process
3.1 The client provides product information to the certification body for evaluation and quotation.
3.2 The client confirms and signs the quotation, fills out the application form, provides samples and documents, arranges payment (initial payment), and the certification body opens the case.
3.3 Product forecasting is arranged, and documents are reviewed.
3.4 If there are problems with the testing or documents, rectification and retesting are arranged until they pass.
3.5 After the testing and documents pass, the certification body conducts witnessed testing.
3.6 After the witnessed testing is completed, the certification body issues the test certificate. Report and certificate issuance
3.7. Upon the client's full payment (final payment), receipt of the certificate and report, and case closure.

5.1 Sample Requirements
5.1.1. Two RF fixed-frequency prototypes and one general-purpose prototype.
5.1.2. The fixed-frequency prototype is for multi-channel operating products. If it is a single-channel prototype, please provide a continuous transmission prototype.
5.2 Certification Standards
Product Testing Standards: Low-power RF motor LP0002 Telecom terminal equipment PSTN01, PLMN01, PLMN08
5.3 Test Items
1. RF testing; 2. Occupied bandwidth testing; 3. Output power and power density; 4. In-band spurious emissions testing; 5. Radiated spurious emissions testing, etc.
5.4 Application Cycle:
NCC certification application cycle is 4-5 weeks. The cost depends on the product information.
