Our Teflon PTFE micro powder is a low molecular weight micronsized white polytetrafluoroethylene powder processed by a specialmethod. lt not only retains the excellent properties of PTFE, such aschemical resistance, thermal stability, weather resistance, andtemperature resistance, but also has many unique properties, such ashigh crystallinity, good dispersibility, and easy uniform mixing with othermaterials.Therefore, it is widely used in the modification of polymermaterials to improve the lubricity, wear resistance, non-stickiness, andflame retardancy of the substrate, significantly improving theperformance of the substrate. In coatings, it provides a slippery surface, which is beneficial for applications where materials need to slide easily, such as in food processing equipment where it helps prevent food from sticking.
Applications of PTFE Micropowder PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene)
1. Lubrication Industry
Lubricant Additive: Mixed into oils, greases, or dry lubricants to reduce friction and wear in mechanical components (e.g., bearings, gears, sliding parts). It forms a protective film on surfaces, ensuring smooth operation even under high loads or extreme temperatures (-200°C to 260°C).
Release Agent: Used in mold release formulations for plastics, rubber, and composites. It prevents molded parts from sticking to molds, simplifying demolding and maintaining part integrity.
2. Polymer & Plastic Modification
Plastic Toughening & Lubrication: Blended with thermoplastics (e.g., PP, PE, PA) or thermosets (e.g., epoxy resins) to improve their wear resistance, impact strength, and processability. It also reduces melt viscosity, making extrusion or injection molding easier.
Coating Modification: Added to industrial coatings (e.g., acrylic, epoxy, polyurethane coatings) to enhance slip properties, scratch resistance, and chemical resistance. Common in cookware coatings, industrial equipment finishes, and automotive coatings.
3. Textile & Fiber Industry
Fabric Functionalization: Applied to textiles (e.g., workwear, outdoor clothing, upholstery) via padding or spraying. It imparts water repellency, oil repellency, and stain resistance while maintaining fabric breathability.
Fiber Lubrication: Used as a lubricant during fiber spinning (e.g., polyester, nylon fibers) to reduce friction between fibers and machinery, minimizing breakage and improving yarn quality.
4. Printing & Packaging Industry
Ink Additive: Mixed into inks (e.g., offset printing inks, gravure inks) to improve scratch resistance, slip, and anti-blocking properties. It ensures printed surfaces (e.g., packaging materials, labels) resist smudging and sticking.
Packaging Coatings: Coated on packaging films (e.g., PE, PET films) to enhance anti-blocking performance, preventing layers of film from adhering to each other during storage or processing.
5. Electrical & Electronic Industry
