Carbide woodworking pallet blades (also commonly referred to as "disposable blades" or "indexable blades") are cutting tools specifically designed for processing waste wood, pallet wood, construction formwork, and other demanding applications.
These blades are typically designed in a polygonal shape (such as quadrilateral or triangular), with a central hole and locating corners, and are mounted on a spiral cutter head or four-sided planer cutter head. Due to the presence of nails, sand, and impurities in pallet wood, the high hardness and wear resistance of carbide (tungsten steel) material is preferred.
Core Features and Advantages:
1. Strong impact resistance: Specifically designed for waste wood containing nails and sand, less prone to chipping.
2. Multiple cutting edges (disposable): Typically, one blade has 4 cutting edges (or even more). After one edge is worn, simply rotate the blade to use the next edge until all cutting edges are used up before discarding, eliminating the need for sharpening and significantly saving downtime.
3. High hardness and wear resistance: Made of sub-micron grain carbide (such as YG6, YG8 grades), with extremely high hardness, maintaining sharpness for a long time.
Pallet blades come in many specifications, mainly differing in size, angle, and chamfer radius.
1. Common sizes: Usually expressed as "length × width × thickness".
2. Standard type: Such as 15×15×2.5mm, 14×14×2mm.
3. Large size (heavy cutting): Such as 20×20×2.5mm, 25×25×2.5mm, used for high cutting volume and high vibration conditions.
4. Common angles: 30°, 35°, 37° (rake angle design, affecting cutting smoothness).
5. Special shapes:
R-type (arc/ball head): Such as R0.5, R1.5, used for processing rounded corners or curved surfaces.
T-type (screw head type): Commonly used in profile cutters.
