The ionic interlayer is an ionic film of a copolymer of ethylene and methacrylate, containing a trace amount of sodium metal ions. The bonding force between the film and glass is mainly the result of ionic bond action. Therefore, the bonding force between the ionic interlayer and glass is much higher than that between the PVB film and glass. And its hardness is 100 times that of the traditional PVB interlayer material, and its tear strength is 5 times that of the PVB interlayer material. The ionic interlayer developed by Tongdun has high bonding performance, optical performance, and mechanical performance, which can fully meet the needs of the laminated safety glass industry for interlayers. Compared with the PVB film, the laminated glass with the ionic polymer film has the following characteristics:
● Higher strength
The laminated glass with Tongdun's ionic polymer film has higher flexural strength than the laminated glass with the PVB film. Under the same glass structure and thickness, it has higher load-bearing and wind pressure resistance performance.
● Lower deflection and larger equivalent glass thickness
Due to its high strength, in architectural design, under the same deflection requirement, the laminated glass with Tongdun's ionic polymer film can achieve the same performance with a smaller glass thickness. This is beneficial for reducing the weight of the glass and the entire support system.
● Better post-breakage safety.
The ionic polymer film has higher tensile strength and tear strength. The laminated glass with it still has strong supportability after breakage.
● Better optical performance.
The ionic polymer film has higher light transmittance, lower haze, and a low yellow index. After being compounded with ultra-clear glass, it has higher transparency and visual effects.
It is commonly used in high-security demand fields such as bulletproof and anti-theft glass and high-end canopy glass.

Packaging and storage of Tongdun's ionic interlayer
Packaging : The inner packaging uses an aluminized film for vacuum packaging, and the outer packaging uses a wooden box. Both the inner and outer packages are attached with product information certificates.
Storage: It should be stored in a cool and dry place at a temperature below 30℃, away from direct sunlight. If the packaging is opened or damaged, it should be placed in a constant temperature dehumidification room with a temperature of 18~25℃ and a relative humidity below 25% and used as soon as possible.
Transportation: During transportation, avoid exposure to sunlight, rain, heavy pressure, and severe vibration.
Shelf life: The normal storage shelf life is two years. After opening the package, it can be stored in a constant temperature dehumidification room with a temperature of 18~25℃ and a relative humidity below 25% for 3 months.
