Structural design and material requirements
Outer steel drum
The material shall be cold-rolled steel sheet with a wall thickness of not less than 0.8mm to ensure mechanical strength and impact resistance.
It is recommended to choose cone-shaped full-opening barrels for export packaging, which is convenient for stacking and transportation.
Lined plastic container
The material should be a mixture of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE), with a density of ≥ 0.94 g/cm and a melt index of 0.2~0.4.
When the capacity is 50~200L, the wall thickness of the liner below 100L shall be ≥0.6mm, and that of the liner above 100L shall be ≥0.8mm, and there shall be no bubbles and impurities.
Second, the performance testing standards
drop test
According to the category requirements, the falling height (1.8m for Class I, 1.2m for Class II, and 0.8m for Class III) is not broken or leaked after the test.
In low temperature environment (-18℃), additional cold tolerance test is needed.
Air tightness and hydraulic test
Air tightness: inject compressed air (Class I ≥30kPa, Class II/III ≥20kPa) and soak for 5 minutes without bubbles.
Hydraulicity: Pressurize to the specified value (250kPa for Class I and 100kPa for Class II/III) for 30 minutes without leakage or rupture.
Stacking test
The stacking height of land transportation is 3m (static load 524kg), and that of sea transportation is 8m (static load 1444kg), which lasts for 24 hours without deformation.
