Professional instruments and methods are needed to detect the wall thickness of ton barrels. The following are the specific steps and standards:
First, the detection method
Ultrasonic thickness measurement method
Using ultrasonic thickness gauge (such as OU1600 model) to measure the wall thickness through the principle of acoustic reflection, which is suitable for metal or plastic materials. When operating, ensure that the probe is vertical to the barrel wall, and the coupling agent fully contacts the surface to avoid air bubble interference.
Verification of wall thickness ratio of symmetrical parts
Take five groups of symmetrical points in the cross section of the middle part of the barrel to measure the wall thickness, calculate the ratio (the maximum is not more than 2:1), and record the minimum wall thickness.
Second, the key indicators
Uniformity requirements: the wall thickness ratio of symmetrical parts of the barrel is ≤2:1, and there is no local thinness or poor plasticization.
Minimum safety thickness: it must meet the industry standard, and the specific value is determined according to the material and use.
Third, auxiliary detection
Visual inspection: Visually check sand holes, bubbles (diameter ≤2mm and no more than 2) and impurities (length ≤ 4mm).
Sealing test: Combined with air tightness test (for example, holding pressure for 5 minutes at 20kPa), verify the correlation between wall thickness and sealing.
