II. Technical Parameters

Input Characteristics: It supports a wide range of input voltages. The AC input voltage range is 90VAC to 264VAC, which can easily cope with the mains voltage fluctuations in different regions; the DC input voltage range is 130VDC to 350VDC, suitable for various DC power supply scenarios. The input frequency is usually compatible with standard frequencies of 50Hz and 60Hz, with excellent power grid adaptability.

Output Capability: The output power can reach 220W, which can provide sufficient power for various loads. There are rich output voltage options, such as 5V, 12V, and -12V, which can meet the different power supply voltage requirements of different devices. The output current capability is adjusted according to different output voltages. For example, when outputting 5V, it can provide a relatively large current to drive devices with high current requirements.

Efficiency and Ripple: The power conversion efficiency is greater than 80%, which effectively reduces energy loss and operating costs. The ripple and noise are extremely low, less than 10mVPP, providing a stable and low-interference power supply environment for devices with strict requirements on power supply purity, ensuring the stable operation of the devices and avoiding signal interference and equipment failures caused by power supply fluctuations.

Environmental Adaptability: The operating temperature range is -20°C to +55°C, and it can work stably in cold outdoor environments or high-temperature industrial workshops. The relative humidity range is 5% - 95% (non-condensing), with good moisture resistance. The protection level reaches IP67, with excellent dustproof and waterproof capabilities. Even in harsh industrial environments such as dusty and humid conditions, it can work normally, ensuring the reliability and service life of the power supply.

Physical Specifications: The product height is 6U, the width can be 8HP or 12HP, and the depth is 171.93mm. The overall structure is compact, which is convenient for installation in various standard cabinets and saves space. The weight is about 2.5 kilograms, which ensures structural strength and performance while taking into account the convenience of installation and handling.

III. Functional Features

Active Power Factor Correction (PFC): Through the built-in PFC circuit, it can effectively improve the input current waveform, significantly reduce harmonic interference, improve the power factor, reduce pollution to the power grid, and at the same time improve the power supply utilization efficiency. It meets the modern green energy-saving industrial standards, making the power supply system more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Redundant Operation Function: It integrates decoupling diodes internally and supports redundant operation mode. When a power module in the system fails, other normally working modules can seamlessly take over the load, ensuring continuous power supply to the system, greatly enhancing the reliability and stability of the entire power supply system, effectively reducing the risk of shutdown caused by power supply failures, and ensuring the continuity of industrial production.

Passive Current Sharing Bus: It allows multiple MPS022 power modules to operate in parallel. Through the passive current sharing bus technology, it can automatically balance the load current among each module, making each module evenly share the system load, giving full play to the performance of each module, improving the overall power supply capacity and reliability of the system, and facilitating users to flexibly expand the power supply capacity according to actual needs.

Signal Output Function: It has a complete signal output mechanism, which can provide VME bus signals and voltage normal output signals. The VME bus signals facilitate communication and integration with systems with VME bus architecture, realizing the interaction between power supply status and system control; the voltage normal output signals can feedback the status of the power supply output voltage in real-time. Once an abnormality occurs, it can promptly notify the control system, facilitating operators to take measures quickly to ensure the safe and stable operation of the system.

Easy Maintenance and Management: The modular design makes each functional module relatively independent. When a fault occurs, the corresponding module can be quickly located and replaced, reducing maintenance difficulty and time costs. Users can also configure and monitor the power module through a simple operation panel or network management tools, grasp the operating status, output parameters and other information of the power supply in real-time, early warn potential faults, and realize intelligent power supply management.

IV. Common Faults and Solutions

No Power Output
Possible Causes: Loose or broken input power connection, resulting in no input voltage; internal fuse blown, which may be caused by overcurrent and other abnormal conditions; damage to power devices inside the power module, such as switching tubes, rectifier diodes, etc.
Solutions: Carefully check the input power cable connections to ensure that the plugs and sockets are in good contact, and re-plug the connections if necessary; use a multimeter to measure the input voltage to confirm whether there is a normal input power supply. If the fuse is blown, it is necessary to replace it with a fuse of the same specification and check the cause of overcurrent, such as load short circuit; for damage to internal power devices, professional maintenance personnel need to open the power module, use professional tools to detect and replace the damaged devices.

Abnormal Output Voltage
Possible Causes: The load at the output end is too heavy, exceeding the rated output capacity of the power module, resulting in a pulled-down voltage; the feedback control circuit fails, making it impossible to accurately adjust the output voltage; excessive input voltage fluctuations, exceeding the normal adjustment range of the power module.
Solutions: Check the load equipment, reduce the load or check for abnormal conditions such as load short circuits, to ensure that the load is within the rated range of the power module. For faults in the feedback control circuit, professional personnel need to use tools such as oscilloscopes to detect whether components in the feedback circuit, such as resistors, capacitors, operational amplifiers, etc., are damaged and replace them. For input voltage fluctuation problems, consider adding a voltage regulator on the input side or using a power module with a wider input voltage range to ensure that the input voltage is stable within the normal working range.

Power Supply Overheating Alarm
Possible Causes: The working environment temperature is too high, exceeding the normal working temperature range of the power module; the cooling fan fails, unable to effectively dissipate heat, leading to an increase in the internal temperature of the module; the power module operates under high load for a long time, generating excessive heat.
Solutions: Improve the working environment of the power module, strengthen ventilation and heat dissipation, such as adding fans, improving cabinet layout, etc., to reduce the ambient temperature. Check whether the cooling fan is running normally, and replace the fan in time if it fails. Reasonably plan the power load, avoid long-term high-load operation, and reduce the burden on a single module by increasing the number of power modules or optimizing the system load distribution to ensure that the power supply works within the normal temperature range.

System Instability with Intermittent Power Outages
Possible Causes: The redundant function of the power module fails, resulting in a short power outage during module switching; the input power has instantaneous interference or fluctuations, affecting the normal operation of the power supply; the internal control circuit of the power supply is subject to electromagnetic interference, leading to abnormal control signals.
Solutions: Check the redundant settings and connections of the power module to ensure that the redundant function works normally, and test and replace the redundant module if necessary. Add anti-interference equipment such as filters on the input power side to eliminate interference and fluctuations of the input power. Take electromagnetic shielding measures for the power module, such as using a metal shell and adding a shielding layer, to reduce the impact of external electromagnetic interference on the internal control circuit and ensure the stable operation of the power supply.
