GE IS200ESYSH1AAA is an I/O board in the EX2100e series excitation system. The following is an introduction to its working principle, functional characteristics, advantages and application fields:


Working Principle: It receives signals input from the generator's potential transformer (PT) and current transformer (CT) through an isolation transformer, converts them into processable electrical signals, processes them through internal circuits, and then transmits the measured data to the system control unit. At the same time, it receives control signals from the control unit. According to the type of signal, it drives general relays or trip relays through corresponding circuits and outputs control commands to realize the control of equipment related to the excitation system. For analog input signals (4 to 20mA or ±10V), processes such as analog-to-digital conversion are performed to facilitate system analysis and calculation.


Functional Characteristics:


  • Multi-signal input processing: It can receive two three-phase PT voltage inputs and two CT inputs, which are used to monitor key operating parameters of the generator such as voltage and current. It supports analog input signals of 4 to 20mA or ±10V, and can convert external analog signals into a form suitable for internal circuit processing. It can also receive digital control input signals to obtain logic signals from other control equipment, so as to understand information such as the system's operating status.

  • Relay output control: It has general and trip relay output functions. It is equipped with two trip relay outputs, which can drive customer locking equipment. In case of abnormal conditions, it can timely trigger trip protection to ensure system safety. It can also control relevant switching devices of the excitation system through general relay output to realize the adjustment of the system's operating status.

  • Electrical isolation and measurement: The board is equipped with an isolation transformer for current measurement and generator voltage measurement, which can ensure the accuracy of measurement and electrical safety, effectively isolate high-voltage circuits from measurement circuits, protect internal circuit components, and improve anti-interference ability.

  • Convenient interface connection: It provides terminal connections through the terminal board installed on it, facilitating wiring with external equipment. These interfaces can usually be connected to HSSL or HSLA sub-boards to realize communication and signal transmission with the EX2100e control system, and can transmit processed signals to the control system while receiving instructions from the control system.
