VMIVME-2540-300 is an intelligent counter/controller based on the VME bus architecture, developed by General Electric (GE). It is applicable in fields such as industrial automation and aerospace. Here are its detailed specifications:
Processor & Memory

  • Processor: Equipped with a 400 MHz MPC8245 PowerPC processor, which boasts strong data processing capabilities. It can handle real-time control tasks such as data acquisition and signal processing efficiently.

  • Memory: Features 128 MB SDRAM and 32 MB Flash. The SDRAM provides sufficient space for real-time data operation, while the Flash is used to store programs and configuration parameters, ensuring stable system operation.

Interfaces
It is equipped with a variety of interfaces to facilitate communication and data transmission with other devices:

  • Dual Ethernet ports

  • Two serial ports (supporting RS-232/422/485 protocols)

  • Eight general-purpose I/O lines

  • Two USB 2.0 ports

  • One PMC site (for expanding additional functional modules as needed)

Channel & Signal Capabilities

  • Channel Count: Offers 4, 8, 16, or 24 channels for digital signal measurement and signal generation. It also comes with 24 discrete output channels, which can be programmed via on-board jumper module options.

  • Input Signal Types: Supports multiple input signal types such as TTL, CMOS, and differential signals, demonstrating strong adaptability to different on-site signal conditions.

Measurement Performance

  • Counting Frequency: The maximum counting frequency can reach several megahertz, and the event counting capacity is up to 4 gigabytes of events, meeting the needs of high-speed event recording.

  • Measurement Range:

    • Frequency measurement range: 1.16×10⁻³Hz to 2.5MHz

    • Period/pulse width measurement range: 400ns to 8.5899×10⁶s (32-bit floating point), or 400 seconds to 858 seconds (32-bit unsigned integer)
