I. Working Principle
The core function is to provide stable power conversion, signal processing, and control logic execution for the excitation system, ensuring precise and reliable magnetic field regulation of the exciter or motor. Its working process can be divided into the following key links:


Power Conversion and Voltage Regulation
The module receives external input power (usually AC or DC high-voltage/low-voltage power, such as AC 220V, DC 110V, etc., specific parameters need to refer to the model specifications). Through internal rectification, filtering, and voltage stabilization circuits, it converts the input power into a stable DC power required by the excitation system (such as the excitation voltage needed for the excitation winding).
Some models may include isolation circuits (such as optoelectronic isolation, transformer isolation) to avoid interference from the input power affecting the excitation control accuracy.


Signal Monitoring and Feedback
The module collects key parameters of the excitation system in real-time, such as excitation current, excitation voltage, motor speed, magnetic field strength, etc.
The collected analog signals (such as mV-level signals output by current/voltage sensors) are converted into digital signals by the internal AD converter and transmitted to the control unit for processing.


Control Logic Execution
Based on preset control algorithms (such as PID regulation) or instructions from external controllers (such as PLC, DCS), the module dynamically adjusts the excitation power supply to ensure that the excitation current/voltage is stable within the set range.
For example, when the motor load changes and causes the excitation demand to change, the module maintains the stability of the magnetic field strength by adjusting the output voltage, ensuring the stability of the motor's output power or speed.


Protection Function Triggering
If abnormal states such as overcurrent, overvoltage, overheating, or short circuit are detected, the module will immediately trigger protection mechanisms (such as cutting off the output, triggering an alarm signal) to prevent equipment damage, and feed back fault information to the superior control system through the communication interface.
