Working Principle


This contactor operates based on the electromagnetic drive principle, consisting of three core components: an electromagnetic system, a contact system, and an arc extinguishing device. When the contactor's coil is connected to the rated voltage, the coil generates electromagnetic attraction, pulling the moving iron core toward the static iron core against the counterforce of the spring. This movement drives the moving contacts to close with the static contacts, thereby connecting the circuit and allowing the load to start operating with power supply. When the coil is de-energized, the electromagnetic attraction disappears, and the moving iron core returns to its initial position under the reset force of the spring. The moving contacts separate from the static contacts, cutting off the circuit and stopping the load. At the moment of circuit interruption, an arc is generated between the contacts. The arc extinguishing device (equipped with structures such as arc chutes and arc grids) quickly cools, stretches, and extinguishes the arc, preventing arc erosion of the contacts, protecting them, extending the contactor's service life, and ensuring the safety and reliability of the interruption process.
