1: The chemical composition of titanium and titanium alloy bars must meet the GB/T 3620.1 standards. Any allowable deviations in chemical composition should conform to the GB/T 3620.2 standards during the buyer's reinspection.
2: The diameter or side length of the hot-working bar and its permissible deviations should align with the specifications detailed in Table 1.
3: Post hot-processing, the rod undergoes turning (grinding) and cold rolling. The diameter deviation for the cold-drawn bar must adhere to the criteria set forth in Table 2.
4: The non-roundness of the polished bar after hot working should not exceed half of its dimensional tolerance.
5: The unspecified length of the processed bar ranges from 300-6000mm, while the annealed bar spans 300-2000mm. Fixed or double lengths must fall within the unspecified length range, with an allowable deviation of +20mm. The double scale length must account for a cutting amount of 5mm each, and these specifics should be clearly stated in the contract.
ApplicationsTitanium alloy bars find extensive application across various sectors, including aerospace, medical, automotive industries, and sporting goods.
1. Aerospace: Titanium alloy's standout properties make it indispensable in aerospace. It is used extensively in manufacturing aircraft engine blades, fuselage structural parts, and rocket engine components. With its high strength, low density, excellent corrosion resistance, and high-temperature capabilities, titanium alloy effectively reduces aircraft weight, enhances fuel efficiency, and ensures flight safety.
2. Medical: In the medical realm, titanium alloy is pivotal in crafting artificial joints, dental implants, cardiac pacemakers, and more. Its excellent biocompatibility and resistance to corrosion minimize allergic reactions in human bodies and prolong the lifespan of medical devices.
3. Automotive: Titanium alloy is crucial in the automotive industry, used in engine parts, exhaust systems, and more. Its superior strength, low density, and corrosion resistance help reduce vehicle weight, boost fuel efficiency, and enhance overall performance.
4. Sporting Goods: Titanium alloy is a game-changer in sporting goods, utilized in golf clubs, bicycle frames, snowboards, and more. Its application not only augments product performance and reliability but also reduces weight, aiding athletes in achieving higher competitive levels.
