Product Description

Durable N06022/Inconel 622/Nicr21mo14W/2.4602 Ns 3308 Hastelloy C -22 Nickel Alloy Plate/Sheet
1 Alloy 625 has excellent strength at temperatures up to 816°C. At higher temperatures, its strength is generally lower than that of other solid solution strengthened alloys. Alloy 625 has good oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 980°C and shows good resistance to aqueous corrosion.

2 Alloy 601 has good resistance to heat and corrosion, especially outstanding to oxidation at elevated temperatures up to 1200°C. It also has high strength, good fabricability and good resistance to aqueous corrosion.

3 N06600 has good resistance to corrosion and high temperature, and has high strength and good fabricability. It resists chloride-ion-incurred stress corrosion cracking, sulfur compounds and oxidizing conditions at high temperatures.

4 Alloy X750 is an age-hardenable Alloy-chromium alloy. It has good corrosion and oxidation resistance and high strength at temperatures up to 700°C. It also has good properties down to cryogenic temperatures.

5 Alloy 718 is an age-hardenable Alloy-chromium alloy that combines corrosion resistance with high strength and good fabricability. It has high creep-rupture strength at temperatures up to 700°C.

6 N08800 has good rupture and creep strength and excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization and sulfidation at temperatures up to 816°C. It also resists general corrosion by many aqueous media. For applications requiring higher stress rupture and creep properties, especially at temperatures above 816°C,N08810 and N08811are recommended.

7 Alloy 020 has excellent resistance in chemicals containing sulfuric acid, and has good resistance to environments containing chlorides, phosphoric acid . It contains niobium for stabilization against sensitization and resultant intergranular corrosion. It also has good mechanical properties and fabricability.

8 N08810 has a restricted carbon content range of 0.05 to 0.10%, which is in the upper portion of that of N08800, and is annealed at 1149 to 1177°C (N08800 is annealed at 983 to 1038°C).

9 Alloy 825 has excellent resistance to chloride-ion-induced stress corrosion cracking, reducing environments containing phosphoric and sulfuric acids, oxidizing environments containing and nitrates, crevice corrosion and intergranular corrosion. It has good mechanical properties at cryogenic temperatures to moderately high temperatures up to 538°C.

10  N08811 ensures higher stress rupture and creep properties compared to N08810 as a result of restricting the carbon content further in the range of 0.06 to 0.10% (N08810 is 0.05 to 0.10%), and the aluminum plus titanium content at 0.85 to 1.20% .

11 Alloy 926 is a super austenitic stainless steel having excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in media containing halides and hydrogen sulfide. It also has outstanding resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking

Hastelloy C22 Characteristics

CORROSION RESISTANCE
Alloy C22 is one of the most corrosion-resistant alloys available, even outperforming C276 and 625. It is resistant to almost all reducing and oxidizing environments, including strong oxidizers, seawater, and organic acids. In addition, C22 has excellent resistance to chloride-induced localized corrosion, including pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.

OXIDATION RESISTANCE
C22 has excellent resistance to oxidation, carburization, and sulfidation at elevated temperatures. However, C22 should not be used at temperatures above 1250°F due to the possible formation of embrittling phases.

MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
C22 is typically provided in the annealed condition with a minimum yield strength of 45 ksi. However, C22 can be cold worked to higher strength levels.

HEAT TREATMENT
C22 is typically annealed at 2050°F (1121°C), followed by rapid cooling.

WORKABILITY
C22 can be hot worked or cold worked. However, C22 work-hardens rapidly. Therefore, cold working must often be performed in stages with intervening anneals. Parts should be annealed after cold working.

Hastelloy C22 Applications

The exceptional corrosion resistance of C22 has promoted its use in many different markets wherever harsh environments are encountered, including the chemical process, pharmaceutical, food processing, oil & gas, power generation, and the paper industries. CRA offers specialty alloy C22 seamless pipe & tube for use in multiple industries and applications, including:
▪ Chemical processes
▪ Food Processing
▪ Pharmaceutical Industry
▪ Oil & Gas
▪ Power Generation
▪ Pulp & Paper Industries
