Performance characteristics
Processor: It can be equipped with a 25MHz MC68LC040 enhanced 32-bit microprocessor, featuring 8KB cache and MMU (Memory Management Unit). It can also be optionally equipped with a 25MHz MC68040 32-bit microprocessor. On this basis, it also integrates an FPU (Floating-point Unit), which can handle floating-point operation tasks more efficiently.
Memory configuration: Equipped with 1MB, 4MB or 8MB shared DRAM, featuring parity protection to ensure the accuracy of data storage and transmission. In addition, there is 512KB of SRAM, equipped with a spare battery, which is used to retain key data and system configuration information in case of power failure.
Storage function: Equipped with 1MB flash memory, it can be used to store on-board monitors, debugger programs or user-defined firmware. Meanwhile, there is also a 32-pin PLCC EPROM socket, which is convenient for users to install EPROM according to their needs.
Interface type:
VME bus interface: It adopts the VME ChiP2 chip, supporting the VME bus system controller function. It can realize data transmission between the local bus and the VME bus. The bus width includes A16/A24/A32, D8/D16/D32, and also supports D64 block transmission. It has high-performance DMA function.
Serial port: Two serial ports are provided. One of them is EIA-232-D DCE, and the other can be configured as EIA-232-D or EIA-530 DCE/DTE, driven by the Zilog Z85230 serial port controller, facilitating communication with other devices with serial interfaces.
Ethernet interface: An optional local area network Ethernet transceiver interface with 32-bit local bus DMA (Intel 82596CA controller) is available, which can achieve network connection and facilitate data interaction and remote control between the module and other devices through the network.
SCSI bus interface: A SCSI bus interface with 32-bit local bus burst DMA (NCR 53C710 controller) can be selected for connecting SCSI devices to meet the requirements of large-capacity data storage or high-speed data transmission.
IndustryPack interface: It is equipped with four MVIP IndustryPack interfaces, providing a 32-bit data path for IndustryPack modules. It can connect various functional modules, such as I/O modules and control modules, to achieve functional expansion.
Timer: It integrates six 32-bit timers, four of which do not come with VMEbus. It also includes a programmable watchdog timer, which can be used to trigger scheduled tasks and monitor the system's operating status, ensuring the stable operation of the system.
Other features: The front panel is equipped with two button switches (ABORT and RESET), facilitating users to perform emergency stop and reset operations. There are also eight LED indicator lights, which are respectively used to display system status information such as FAIL (fault), STAT (status), RUN (operation), SCON (serial port control), LAN (Ethernet status), FUSE (fuse status), SCSI (SCSI interface status), and VME (VME bus status).
Power supply requirements: A + 5V (±5%) DC power supply is required, with a typical current of 3.5A and a maximum current of 4.5A.
Working environment: The storage temperature range is -40 °C to + 85°C, and the relative humidity is 5% to 90% (non-condensing). Usually, in an environment of 55°C, forced air cooling by a 100CFM axial fan can ensure the normal operation of the module.
