MVR Evaporator for Dyeing Wastewater Treatment
Dyeing wastewater was treated in this project, the main component was ammonium sulfate, and contained high content of organic substances. A MVR type and forced circulation evaporator was adopted, which consisted of preheater, FC type heater, evaporative crystallizer, mechanical vapor recompressor(MVR), secondary steam washing tower, and centrifuge.
FC type heaters were installed at both the inlet and outlet of the forced circulation pump, which was able to reduce flowrate of the circulation pump, and as well as the operation cost.
And a secondary steam washing tower was installed, to ensure the secondary steam entering the compressor was clean, so as to extend the service life of the compressor maximum.
And a flushing system was contained, flushing the aasy plugging pipe with feed material or condensate, safe and reliable in operation.
Process TechnologyA MVR evaporator is adopted to concentrate the dyeing wastewater which contains ammonium sulfate to over-saturated. After concentration, the oversaturated liquor was delivered into a centrifuge to be solid-liquor separated, the filtered salts was discharged or recycled, and the mother liquor was returned to the evaporator system to be concentrated again.
Equipment Description1 set of MVR and forced circulation evaporator is adopted for dyeing wastewater treatment, is able to meet the following demands:
1). the dyeing wastewater was concentrated to oversaturated, and then was filtered by a centrifuge to separate crystal salts from mother liquor, and the mother liquor was returned to evaporator system;
2). All components in the plant are well designed to ensure safety in production;
3). The forced circulation evaporator system can effectively prevent the blocking risk of heat exchange tubes caused by high concentration, and can slow the formation of scaling on the heat exchange surface at the mean time, improve the heat transfer efficiency, increase the continuous operation time of equipment, and reduce the cleaning frequency;
4). The main configuration of the plant is as below:
a. One set of forced circulation evaporator;
b. One set of MVR device;
c. One set of demister system for ensure the quality of secondary steam entering the MVR device, to ensure the service life of the MVR device;
d. One set of DSC control system.
