The working principle of the arc-shaped roller is mainly based on its unique structure and design, aiming to eliminate red creases during the material's movement and prevent possible interlacing during the material slitting process. It can generate traction force when the material is running, flattening the material. Under long-term operation, it is easy to cause wear on the roller surface, thereby affecting normal production.

Recently, Jinan Tianmeng New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. carried out surface repair on a batch of arc-shaped rollers with surface wear at the request of a customer. After a comprehensive analysis of the surface damage, the thermal spraying technicians used supersonic spraying technology to spray tungsten carbide coating materials on the surface to prepare a tungsten carbide coating. The coating thickness was between 0.08 and 0.1mm. Roughness Ra0.5-0.7, hardness > HV1100.

Tungsten carbide material has excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and is one of the commonly used materials in supersonic spraying processes. Tungsten carbide coatings not only have high hardness but also high bonding strength, which can greatly improve the performance of workpieces and extend their service life.
